[spoiler] [i]7 Years earlier, a little Warlock is playing in the living room of her house, practicing her void abilities. She hears the front door open, standing up to take a look. A faint weeping is coming from the main hallway. It's her mom, talking with a large, armored guardian. His name was Janus.[/i] [b]Janus[/b]: I'm sorry Ma'am. We tried to stop him, but he... He made his decision. [b]Liz's Mother[/b] [i](sitting down, sobbing)[/i]: Why?! Why did he have to be so stupid?! [b]Liz[/b]: Mommy? [b]Janus[/b]: He saved the planet... He'll be remembered forever. [b]Liz[/b]: Where's Daddy? [b]Liz's Mother[/b]: I don't care what they remember him for! He shouldn't be dead, he should be here! With us! [b]Liz[/b]: Mommy, where's Daddy?! [i]Liz's Mother is hunched over on the floor, crying in shock.[/i] [b]Liz[/b]: Where is he?! [i]She didn't respond. Liz sprints through the door, into the cold breeze outside.[/i] [i]Dark clouds are overhead, as snow flakes begin falling from the sky.[/i] [b]Liz[/b] [i](running through the street)[/i]: DADDY! [i]When she gets to the Tower courtyard, she immediately stops, sliding on the ground.[/i] [i]A large ship is docked at the edge, the ramp lowered. A group of Warlocks, dressed in faded red trench coats step onto the ground, walking toward her.[/i] [b]Liz[/b]: Where is he?! [i]The figures step passed her and continue towards the Hall of Guardians, looking away from her to avoid her eyes. Almost as if her gaze was piercing them.[/i] [i]Liz sunk to the ground, kneeling in the snow. Tears were now streaming down her face.[/i] [b]Liz[/b]: Please.... Daddy.... [i]It wasn't until a couple hours later when Liz's mother came out and brought her inside.[/i] [i]The snow continued to fall, though. For the rest of the night.[/i][/spoiler] [b]-----------------------[/b] [i]Zale and Vergil were quiet.[/i] [i]Liz was now sitting on the ground.[/i] [b]Liz[/b]: I was 10 years old when I found out, alright? I don't remember anything about him... [i]The guardians looked down at the ground.[/i] [b]Liz[/b]: My mother hated him for it. She always said how his mission wasn't to save Valhalla. It was to come home to us. Alive and well.... He never did. [i]They looked up at her.[/i] [b]Virgil[/b]: ...I'm sorry... [b]Zale[/b]: Yeah.... We didn't mean to... Make you remember.... [b]Liz[/b] [i](stepping forward)[/i]: It's okay... I healed. I got better. Janus helped raise me. Gave me a chance to prove myself, and follow in his footsteps. Eventually, I learned to pick myself up. It's what keeps me going today. [i]Zale smiled, impressed by her resolve.[/i] [b]Hayden[/b]: Hey guys. [i]Zale and Liz looked over.[/i] [b]Hayden[/b] [i](pointing behind him)[/i]: You ready? [i]Behind the Titan, a large shuttle pulled into the hangar bay, lowering itself to the metal platform. The roaring jets slowed down to a low, steady stream as it touched down.[/i] [b]Zale[/b][i] (walking forward)[/i]: Alright, time to get this over with. [i]Zale climbed up the ramp and into the ship.[/i] [b]Hayden[/b]: Hell yeah. Liz, you good? [i]Liz stood up and started towards the shuttle.[/i] [b]Liz[/b]: Yeah... Let's go.
