But they did listen: -We have in-game voice chat due to community demand -We have the ability to toggle our helmet in social spaces due to community demand -We have color blind options due to community demand -Xur is no longer our exotic gear upgrader due to community demand -Heroic Strikes have matchmaking due to community demand. But Nightfall should now have matchmaking since it no longer boots to orbit on a wipe which was the main reason for no matchmaking. Raid-like activities create too many complications for the current matchmaking system Don't pretend like Bungie never listens. Edit: this reply is not a debate whether or not this content should have been included at launch. This reply is a rebuttal to OP, and many of the other posters on here, about content Bungie implemented due to community demand. The fact most people replying to me have almost no argument to speak of (besides telling me how this content should have been included at launch) means that you know I'm right. I'm also incredibly depressed at the number of people who desperately want to believe Bungie is actively malicious to them. Instead of spreading you asinine theories all over the forum, you could literally leave. Because you stay, I have to assume you are either masochistic because you seem to believe Bungie is actively hurting you or you can only get your rocks off by actively attacking the beliefs of everyone else.

 • These are very small fish that nobody even wanted. Bungie merely added this fluff because they won't add what players really want, like transmog and trading and viable year one gear. Your examples are low hanging fruit that bungie should have included on the original game

 • The portion of the community that actually wants trading is a minority. There are plenty of players against trading because we understand how it would destroy the game. Real world money for items always becomes a thing when trading exists.

 • I stay because I paid good money for the game. I'm going to keep playing it, because I enjoy the PvP. That doesn't mean I'm not allowed to be mad when we're deceived or lied to or let down.

 • Allow me to sum up your flawed logic with a hypothetical story. Let's say that Chevy releases a awesome new sports car that they generated tons of hype over, there are lots of high hopes for it. It's advertised to be able to easily go one hundred and ten miles an hour, but it takes 5 minutes for it to accelerate to that speed. Also it uses up 1 gallon per mile. It has a built in GPS, but its incapable of finding any address put into it properly. And to top it all off every time something on the car breaks down the warranty magically becomes void the day before the breakdown. So after much outcry Chevy gives up and strips the car down and releases it as the Chevy Malibu. An extremly average and unimpressive car compared to the previous promised car. According to them that is the perfect way to fix the problem. That's the logic that all destiny apologists use in my opinion when it comes to problems supposedly being fixed. They never should have existed

 • You ever see that episode of scrubs were clara says " I wear the pants in this relationship but once in awhile I have to let Turk make a decision about something I don't care about so that he doesn't feel like he doesn't have any say in this relationship like the car he's getting right now I don't care what color it is or how it looks as long as it has 4 wheels and drives*Turk pulls up with 3 mopeds*" That last part wasn't necessary for my point but I just love that show

 • Wow, They also listened and nerfed everything at some point. I have never seen one person use voice chat in game, I had on time of leaving 1800hrs played.

 • But why? In-game voice chat is barely used in favor of the chat system on the console itself. Matchmaking had to be sort of a watch and learn thing because can't really know how it would affect the game. I don't blame them for not having matchmaking for end-game content at launch. A lot of games today still don't have color vlind options, either. It's sort of on the developer wether or not they want to take the time to include that. Bungie did it because we wanted to. They never had to. They could have ignored the community like everybody loves to say they do. And Xur was implemented poorly in the way it reset your progress. If we look at just using Xur to upgrade and look past the progress reset, that's something Bungie has never done previously and was definitely experimentation. And it was changed because we disliked the process. My original reply is not supposed to be about whether or not this content should have existed at launch. My reply was to show how Bungie does actually listen to the community. They do listen and implement things. The problem is that Bungie can't implement every little want this community has, so they receive undue backlash for it.

 • They take too long to fix important things such as the Thorn issue last year yet nerf weapon parts for no reason at all other than to place a artificial ceiling on progress to make the game, "last" longer. They seem to have time to create emotes to sell for cash yet cannot find the time to create more actual content (Halloween thing was garbage). You must realize that the emote creating stuff is just some crap knocked up by an employee in a spare 10 minutes he/she had? Just a matter of changing a few paths in the already saved animation model. I love this game for many reasons but I despise Bungie's lack of ethics and it is close getting to a point where my dislike for Bungie's practices outweighs my like for the game.

 • Maybe they dont wanna "fix" what "you" deem needs fixing. People cry on here about "why is bungie so slow fixing sunbreakers??!!" When they stated at the beginning it was fine where it was at but they were watching it.

 •
Maybe they dont wanna "fix" what "you" deem needs fixing.
They did fix it, it just took them 6 months, I played WoW and they hot fixed an OP ability in 15 mins but 6 months it took Bungie to sort out the Thorn issue. Anyhoot, take your snotty attitude elsewhere or discuss things properly.

 • Well they have stated they like the idea of seasons and having dominant weapons for a duration. I get what you mean though about taking so long. There is a John Weisnewski (the head pvp weapons guy if you dont know) interview him explaining why that took as long as it did. I very much recommend listening to the whole thing. Lots insight on why things are done like they are. There is a Luke Smith interview too that explains alot. Planet Destiny podcast amyway You very well could've already listened to them but throwing that out there. Seems lots people dont know theyre there. I guess i give them benefit of the doubt and you can see they care about the game and they arent the evil people that is claimed.
