I feel like it's pretty obvious why and what they are going to do with this to make this complaint go away:
1. As some sort of update/expansion/patch (or whatever) they'll open up an auction house.
2. They'll make the glimmer cap much higher.
3. Those who kept older/rarer items, e.g., guardians selling/buying Fatebringers, etc. for -blam!-.
4. Make/recycle a material that will upgrade said weapon/armor to the relevant LL.
5. Release new items that will be harder to attain, but will be easier for vets due to making said economy.
Easy way to pump out new Destiny material and the only way this could be done is allowing time to elapse. That way you have more kinderguardians coming in making this all flow and it'll build [to the] hype.

An auction house isn't needed for the majority of weapons people want. You can run VoG anytime to get fatebringer. It's hella easy now. It's just that when you get it, it's garbage. Unless you make a new character (it'll be useful for a bit) it's completely useless.

Edited by Ocelot’s Promise: 12/4/2015 2:11:48 AMI think you underestimate the amount of solo players out there (as in the new players and onslaught of more new players in the future), so those people will want stuff that they can't get, aka, raid and trials gear. And if you read my whole comment I added in the hypothetical of making old weapons relevant again. This theory of mine would be put in place much further in the future, not next month.

I don't know, maybe. Is it really that hard for some people to find a few friends to do a mission with?
-
It sorta is.. I mean, I play solo probably 95% of the time, that's including using lfg. The people I used to play with left destiny some time ago. I've attempted ToO twice with a dude on my friends list and a rando last week which was the first time since TTK, kinda sucks since I used to do it weekly prior to that. So I've still only gone to the lighthouse once and anytime I lfg the raid we get to oryx and stop.. So I still haven't fully completed HM.

Auction house would break this game even more than it already is.
Auction house would break this game even more than it already is.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Activision_Blizzard I'm posting this link for you only so you can realize that those who made wow, where an auction house exists, is also tied in with Destiny. Trust that it is in the works. Also, I personally know/play with someone who has said that they'd pay more than 25k glimmer for a fatebringer cause they've never been blessed by rng. And he was referring to an old one, not one that'd hopefully be boosted to a relevant LL. Fast forward 4 years, there will be weapons that us vets will have that will be unattainable for newcomers.
