You've never played an MMO and don't know what one is or that there is more than one kind of MMO. That's evident. And that's ok. Just quit pretending to be an authority. It's an instanced-world MMO. And traditional persistent-world MMOs are moving towards instancing and have been for a decade. You need only look at World of Warcraft. All dungeons and raids, the content, are instanced. No competition for mobs in them. Like Guild Wars, the economy and storyline are what's persistent. Worlds evolve, rather than being frozen in time like a persistent-world MMO. There's social areas, and people are placed there not by choice, as an "online" game does.
ArenaNet also avoids the MMO term for Guild Wars. But it's an MMO. The term has negative connotations. Notably, subscription fees and massive time-sinks are huge negatives that the very name drives people away from instantly.
You saying it is not does not change what it is. And what it is, is an MMO. End of discussion.
