I agree that it is a little annoying that I can't use Fatebringer effectively anymore.... BUT this post was in reference to jump from Year 1's The Dark Below Expansion to Year 1's House of Wolves Expansion. That statement is not applicable to destiny in its current state.
Sadly..... :(
"In the months to come [...]" The time you have invested in your stuff should be respected."
It was made during TDB, but it was specifically assessing the future of the game, for what it's worth. :P
"In the months to come [...]" The time you have invested in your stuff should be respected."
well it is assessing the future of the game if they ever make a statement about it will read something along the lines of ""In the months to [...]" yes but not necessarily in the years to come as we are listening to player(customer) feedback and we hear you..." The same thing ever other company does.

They also said you could take all of your gear to destiny 2, but what would be the point of taking an obsolete fatebringer to destiny two in 2 years? I think they had in all honesty planned to keep all end game weapons at near equal attack values forever but something changed along the way.

Exactly the point, people fail to see why though and based on statistics there's a reason for it which they have explained.
