Bungie has a bad habit taking away players progress every other month , although they claimed to respect players achievements after the huge TDB backlash which "generously" let you reset all your progress for paying tons of glimmer , they keep doing it and TTK was the biggest one by turning all old weapons completely useless
with every DLC stuff that took hours upon hours to obtain through the RNG system and upgrade is being reset or simply made obsolete, same applies to new currencies that are being added just to negate all your collected currencies. , not even speaking about the overkill nerfs that turn peoples favorite weapons to vault fillers
i mean they could just add new items worth striving for at the same DMG level to make people collect new stuff without losing anything , but for some reason Bungie thinks they are entitled to take away peoples stuff and indirectly making lots of hours playing pointless

This happens in nearly all persistent online games (that have stuck around). Its to allow new players to catch up and not feel behind. Keeps things fresh with new stuff to acquire Go play some other game then if you cant adapt to a system thats been around for about last 10 years.

Edited by GANTZ: 12/4/2015 2:52:49 PMthis MMO excuse may work only on people who never played one , i played DCUO and FFXIV and ESO , but none of these did these disrespectful item reset practices , in destiny once you finally obtain items you want through stupid RNG you dont even get time to enjoy your toys before they wipe em for me the variety of relevant weapons at my disposal decreased with each "expansion" , kinda ironic as they should expand and not limit the game no MMO that takes your stuff away every 3 months , before you even get time to have fun with your obtained items , not counting overkill nerfs inbetween , real MMOs have story and content so they dont need to resort to this shit , yes they add new stuff but its a natural RPG progression , not forced reset like in destiny , there you move on to obtain new and better items in destiny they take away your items and force you grind just to get the same stuff back you already had or replace your items with worse ones , sometimes they change the color of the items lol
