Did everyone seriously ever expect that with all the future content to come that it was ever a good idea to make vanilla gear up to par with current generation gear indefinitely? seriously think about it, why would anyone care about any future content if they filled up their vaults to the brim with old items that they refuse to let go. I remember getting wooden swords in RPGs that I didn't care about trashing when I got a steel one.

Only when they release the best gear up front and continue releasing gear with useless perks. Compare VoG gear to the other two raids and poe gear. It is no wonder people want to use year 1 gear

Hey I like my current weapons, maybe you've glorified the y1 weapons too much to the point where you can't accept any new ones? I'm not trying to be offensive here I'm genuinely making a suggestion.
