To anyone who has suffered through the Chaperone quest can you please tell me if its worth all the misery I have encountered the last two days?
I am an above average player at Crucible and the highest I have made it % wise is 9. That's right 9%.
Is the struggle I am enduring worth it?
I get outgunned by snipers and pulse rifles constantly. I honestly don't have a chance.
Should I keep going for this shotgun? Please tell me if its worth it?
They need to redo the mechanics big time.
- + 2% for a kill
- + 5% for a head shot
- - 1% for a death
Where it stands right now you have to pretty much triple your score to move up at all. It's just not fun. Why are we being punished for going say 20-10 in a match and not making any headway? Seriously? Who designed this quest?
EDIT 1.
Thanks for all of the replies everyone, a lot of good advice below.
I am just about done with this. I have been switching lists from Control to Rumble to Clash. I am at 80% and called it quits for the day
I am going to give Rift a shot tomorrow since a lot of people were saying use that.
I also had no ideas wins and loses affected your gains. So that's a huge help.
As for some of the others saying I should have had this done already and it's easy.
I have no answers. I walked through the First Curse part of Crucible with all three of my characters one match each. I have no idea why this one is giving me so much trouble.
At first I was playing way too offensively so I slowed it down a bit, and it's got much better.
I am playing as a Warlock for those who asked. On Xbone.
Thanks for all the replies again.
EDIT 2
Got this done. Now onto shot gunning all things. Especially yellow things.

The chaperone is worth the quest. I'm decent at PvP and didn't have any issues. Only equip TLW when you have heavy or super. Get your super/heavy kills and run away to remove TLW. It seems to count kill-stream when the weapon is equipped and ignore deaths between. It took about 5 decent games to finish it (assuming you don't take stupid deaths).
