Jonathan, a Warlock, strides towards the bar. He always enters quite composed but exits with more than a slight stumble. He didn't count it as a problem. Others had a problem with it.
He sat 3 seats away from the Titan and slammed 500 glimmer down.
"Bacardi let-lose. On the rocks"
He had a rule. Always drink the best first. Switch to cheap stuff once you're drunk.
The glass was set down and he mocking raised it, "to another damned success"
He downed it harshly and quickly, a clear indication that he was unhappy.
Not that it was without reason. The damned Taken. Always getting away. He never understood how.
After 3 fast drinks he slowed down considerably. It calmed his frayed nerves.
"You could always hire a partner", a soft, female voice chimed in his head.
"Me? A partner? What madman would pair up with me?"
"You judge yourself too harshly. You are not associated with any sort of Darkness"
"Didn't stop my enemies from kicking me out of the Tower. I didn't even know I HAD enemies here"
He sighed. Long and winded. Jonathan was tired. He's been at this for well over 200 years. And he was tired. Of all the blood. Of all the loss. So many.
But she was the last straw. Anyone but her had to be lost. Anyone but.
Gradually he accepted it, but he never connected again. No allies. No support. It was easier. The risk was gone.
But he secretly yearned for it. The chance to maybe meet one as strong as him. To maybe survive the long night.
He sighed. No one was like him. He was too old. Even a Guardian's infinite youth could run out. After all those years, he aged maybe 15.
"How long to have to wait til I can properly drink myself to death?"

She shakes a bit worried for the warlock but does What he says and holds the sword up In front of her and Walks
-
John could feel her shaking through the armor and his grip tightened. "I'm fine, alright? Don't focus on that right now. Let go of my sword and you get to feel that pain. Plus, I lose my sword." They walked closer towards the portal. The black fog smothered the green fire so they could walk without any damage
-
She Keeps somewhat shaking but Stays steady still walking holding the sword din front of her
-
He pulls back to stop her once they reach the portal. Still keeping his hand on her shoulder, he moves in front of her. He carefully takes the sword from her. "Hold onto me. You still need to"
-
She Takes her hand and sets it on his shoulder, him being a bit taller than her makes it a bit difficult but she Manages to keep a good Grip on him
-
He takes a deep breath and moves the sword back slowly to a thrusting position. He focused on the portal and rammed the sword, point-first, into the rupture. The entire area shakes with power and the sword begins to vibrate. The vibrations increased and John shot out his hand, catching her wrist. "We have to go, now! Into the portal" He pulled the sword out with his other hand and ran inside.
-
She quickly follows him
-
They entered on the other side in total Darkness. John kept his grip tight and spoke in a hushed voice. "Generate a small amount of light. Only to see a few feet. If our Ghosts come out, we'll be in some deep trouble"
-
Reya lifts up her other hand and Makes it light up with her fire Making a small little light enough to where they can see a few inches in front of them
-
"I haven't actually been here before, but, according to most of my research, there is no floor"
-
"So what the hell are we standing on?: she says as he feels her grip tighten on his shoulder
-
"There are small platforms scattered here, to allow lesser Hive movement, but most of what come here have the ability to fly" John still had his sword drawn and got an idea. "Give me one second. Just stay nearby. I'm not sure how far the platform goes"
-
"Ok" Reya says as he hears her kinda chocke on her word
-
In the dim light, John's face could be seen pulling into a grin. "You aren't scared, are you?"
-
She kind of steps back away from him but not to far still holding her light in her hand "Do what you need to do"
-
John just laughs to himself quietly. "A big, strong Titan, scared of the Dark. Oh, this is priceless" John felt along his sword for a moment until he stopped. "This one should be correct. Can you come here for a second?"
-
"Of we weren't on platforms I punch you So hard Right now" She walks over to him "and not with my empty fist"
-
John was silent for a second but notably tensed up. "Just hold still for one second. I'm almost ready..." John rose and dusted himself off. Then he placed his free hand on her chest.
-
"Ok....hello there, alittle Grabby are we?"
-
Edited by cloudless9: 12/8/2015 7:09:07 AM"Just hold still. It's almost done..." John closed his eyes and spoke cryptically. "Féach ar anios i dorchadas" He removed his hand and a small, white flame was left behind. It slowly shaped itself into a triangle of 3 small ruins. "Okay. All done. Can you see?"
-
"Somewhat it's a bit blurry. What the hell did you to to me?!" Her voice is angry
-
"A rather simple night vision incantation. Although it's not perfect because I wasn't exactly on your center of gravity" John looked around, obviously still blind. He squinted hard and then sighed. "Unfortunately, I can't perform the same spell on myself. So you will have to lead" John twirled his sword and sheathed it. He looked down at her chest again. The ruins slowly were growing dimmer until they were dark. "They should be good for at least another hour. More than enough time. However, don't look at any bright light. It may blind you"
-
"I can't wait to see what your ghost is gonna say about putting your hand on my chest, even though it was to give me night vision...at least I hope" She starts Carefully walking
-
"Oh, I can feel her trembling with rage. But it's agreed we don't fight if we're working. So I get a free pass for as long as I need" John lightly laid a hand on her shoulder. He leaned forward and spoke past her. "You should see a series of small platforms flying around. Once one comes, tell me and we'll get on. They should respond"
-
She nods as him and Reya Jump onto platform after platform each time she says until they reach the other side of were they are going
