Susanoo, the warlock custom fusion rifle from the Gunsmith quest.
The Transfusion perk has issues
First, it never seems to reset it's element back to default. Does the description not say 'for a period of time'?
Well, I guess ;'forever' technically is a time period, but still
this seems broken
Secondly, the perk is actually a liability.
Most Guardians, choose their weapons to have a Different Element from their subclass, to allow more diversity in our arsenal of damage types.
So having the weapon change to match subclass actually makes it less useful.
Suggested Improvements:
Change the Elemental Transfusion perk to one of the following:
-Elemental damage matches the shield type of the enemy most recently damaged.
-Elemental damage randomly rotates with each kill.
-Elemental damage rotates with each reload.
and other fun variations.
I realize this weapon's shortcomings have gone under the radar because, well, no one uses it.
Maybe that should change.

No one uses it cause it is warlock exclusive

I REALLY like the idea of the weapon's damage type being related to the shielded enemy killed (engaged?). I used the weapon once and hated it so much it was placed in the vault. I figure if they fix it I may use it again. Anyway, great ideas!

I think one should be able to choose an element from a perk tree.

Edited by Amatsu: 12/7/2015 3:33:49 AMI think it should have a different effect than hot swap, how about kills grant an ability depending on your subclass? If you have it set for solar it triggers flame shield, void triggers life steal and arc triggers an aoe arc explosion that reduces your super. Edit 1: Also in order to trigger said abilities, you must have a melee charge, to help solidify strength as a viable stat. Similar to No Backup Plans for Titans.

I use mine. I love it.

Lich
There's no skill in team shooting! - old
I love the way it is. Mine is at 318 and it destroys everything. -
I just say reduce the duration time of transfusion to like two minutes. That would fix it alright
-
Dude A. The element resets after 10 minutes (a little long but still) B. The gun does both solar damage and its transfused damage at the same time. For example if you're stormcaller it would do arc AND solar damage at the same time. I've tested this on elemental shields before I know it works
-
It does last a while but otherwise I love it
-
I think it's element should go back to normal in 15 seconds
