Proof snipers have too much aim assist.
-
Assuming that this isn't aim assist (or whatever you want to call it), the most likely explanation is that the sniper rifle hitscan 'projectile' exists for longer than 4 frames and, because the second guy's head touched the hitscan beam before it expired, it counted as a headshot. Either way, this shit needs to be fixed.

Its like people don't know why everyone wants dedicated servers or something.

Edited by mattholdsW: 12/8/2015 8:57:09 AMDoes that sniper have Firefly????!!!!!!!!! Duhhhhhhhhhh Check his warlock. His warlock is in the video. I'm confused on how this is even missed. Firefly.

It has been proven that snipers do not have bullet pull. This is lag. I have died enough times behind walls to know that sometimes shots don't register when they should.
-
OP has never heard of desync. Simply explained, the second guy to get shot has a higher ping to the server than the original target. So when he crossed into the shot it had hit him due to minor amounts of lag, this is a very common thing among client side multiplayer... And bullet magnetization even if it did effect snipers (It doesn't) a bullet doesn't turn around and go back to hit something.
-
That was just lag
-
I think the real problem is that there is no kick out of zoom when you're shot and the fact how easy it is to kill someone despite being shot while zoomed in
-
bow down to the flood!!!!!
-
The other guy was lagging. You can tell by how long it took for the other shot to register. Just got lucky that the lag worked put for you without you knowing
-
Who tf cares... Nerf the whole -blam!-ing game you salty fools. Lol
-
Another possibility is that you got that guy that reacted first (I'll call him first guy) then the bullet ricocheted off the wall and hit the other guy (I'll call him second guy) and then the first guy you hit lagged and the second guy didn't. The second guy got killed first because of the other guy lagging then a split second later the first guy got killed. Yeah I believe the Aim Assist in Destiny is 'too damn high' but if you think of a game with next to no Aim Assist on snipers (COD for example), a sniper can kill with one body shot. If you ask me that kinda evens it out.

Edited by Kupokitty: 12/8/2015 8:52:05 AMEdit: I'm tired and forgetting that some guns shoot green, lol. That's an annoying bug.
-
I've had/seen this happen. Both of the time were because of lag, one was in trials and the other one was in a game of control.
-
Whatever you all complain about, this is what we have: Guy fires one sniper shot. 2 guys get a headshot with their heads not being exactly in line with each other. Do we concede that this should be fixed, whatever it may be?
-
Straight outta trials! Another salty-ass hunter!

What doesn't have too much aim assist in this game? Every weapon does. The game was created to cater to soccer moms, kids and clueless dudebros who've never played anything else but Call of Duty. This game is as casual as you'll see. Heavy aim assist is crucial when over half of your playerbase aren't even gamers.
-
Too tired; Didn't watch
-
This is why people do the drag snipe. If any part of the sniper bullet trail hits the head it counts as a kill which is bs and why players are getting mad
-
It's amazing how many people don't have a clue about what aim assist is or what it does... You just heard your friend complain, who heard it from hos friend, who heard it from his friend, who heard it from his dog. I agree about the video being hilarious, but it's not aim assist
-
UPDATE* I acknowledge its not aa in the strict technical definition. I don't buy the excuse of lag. It was not a laggy game and I've played enough laggy games to know that you still have to hit the players head to get the kill it just registers seconds later. I also don't buy that I shot the hit box. Hit boxes are nowhere near that big. I think we can all agree that PvP needs A LOT of work.
-
It's not just aim assist, it seems like certain snipers (1000 yard stare) have an unusually large hit box. I'm not gonna complain about 1000 yard stare I have one and think it's a great gun but that hit box is a little interesting.
-
Wow that's definitely wierd. Why doesn't it do that for me when I snipe... :(
-
Here's the proof http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/lxSP33DYxl/video/13123710
-
Yet everyone says that's not aim assist at all and that was lag
-
Thankyou for pointing this out.

Edited by playzthegame81: 12/7/2015 6:55:04 PMI had the exact same thing happen to me once using Golden Gun. The 2 guys were stacked exactly like they are in your video. When the GG shot passed between them it hit the guy in the back and killed them both. I didnt have keyhole or combustion on either. The game just gave me credit for both because it was too close maybe. I think the game just has a problem when they are in close proximity like that at that angle. Now that I think about I have got a few double kills using a shotgun in this same scenario. One shot giving out 2 kills.
