Hidden Wrath Part Two

Author's Note: Hey, sorry that it's been months, this is not technically my first fan fic, but it will be the first one that I am proud of. Link to Archives: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/175211102/0/0 My throat went dry. I had beaten the Vault every week with my fire-team since the Vanguard deemed it a threat. Maybe this time we had went too far. We killed Atheon without times vengeance this time, we wanted an extra challenge. Maybe killing Atheon like that meant he couldn't respawn. I heard a swoosh behind me only to see Dinklebot being sallowed by a Vex cloud! I reached out to grab him, but my hand closed on empty space. Some gut feeling told me that I would be following Dinklebot to a Vex dimension. I dove towards my desk drawer and ripped it open. I grabbed my sword hilt, Longbow Synthesis, and Vision of Confluence. My hands managed to shove a few synths per weapon into my robes, but you can only hold so much without a ghost. I strapped my longbow to my back, put my sword hilt into its scabbard, and held my Vision. Satisfied, I got up. And stepped straight back into a Vex portal. I felt like my atoms were slowly being ripped apart. My physical body was in a world of pain while I was stuck in a mental battle. My mind was the battle field, and my wits were my armor and weapons. I shut out the excruciating pain, and slipped into a trance-like state. I allowed my mind to clear, then I examined my threat. It appeared that a computer of sorts was trying to hack my mind. Stupid machine, I'm not a robot too, I thought. I began launching coding, firewall data, anything that I had programmed my computers defenses with. No matter the defense I sent out, the machine continued to advance on my conscience. Thinking quickly, I saw that I only had one option to get out of the machines' grasps. I launched everything I knew at the machine. Formulas, recipes, names, clothes, weapons, and anything that was in my mind. I tried to hold back vital information so that the Vex couldn't gain from me. Finally, I heard an ear splitting screech, and all went black. I awoke to a maniacal voice. The same voice from my room. "You are doing well..." The voice hesitated, "with your luck. Luck will not carry you through time." Osiris' symbol blazed in my eyes for a split second. Once my vision cleared, I saw the dreadful Vex clouds. The were as black as night and stretched as far as I could see. I pulled out my Vision of Confluence. The gun felt right in place, ready to decimate some Vex. "Whelp, this'll be a doozy," I muttered to my self. Then I started shooting.
