James, Lake, and Lakir arrived first, warping into a street somewhere in the European Deadzone. The whole city was quiet, nothing stirred. The street they were in was old and gray. James was in the lead. They hadn't even reached Aries, and yet, the Darkness had taken a strong grip over this city. The temperature felt like ice and there was no wind whatsoever. The trio waited for the other guardians that were coming with them to confront Aries.

The jester comes into view, late, passing over head, the unmistakable sound of someone materialising. Z:" It wasn't my fault Ro:" Yes yes it was , let's hope we can catch them. Ro appears .

(( Scroll all the way down. The fight began. ))

A short while passed before the trio suddenly heard a roaring booming sound in the distance. Sounding like screeching mettle and sparking systems, the disturbing noise got louder and more intense with every second, until a heavily damaged 'Belisarius Defiant' ship tumbled through the air over a crumbling building. The ship, doused in flames and damaged badly, was practically falling apart as fast as the surrounding ruins. Nearing the ground, the flying totalled wreck of a ship descended out of control and plummeted into a nearby tower, sending smoke, flames and rubble into the air in a loud jaw-clenching bang. A lone Warlock had transmatted out of the ship just in time before it crashed, and landed awkwardly and painfully on the ground. After a groan or two, he stood up off the dirt and weeds, brushing off excess soot on his robes and armour, which were burnt, torn, and stained. Looking around desperately, the Warlock locked eyes with the trio and tried to compose himself more formally. "Um... Hi. Again"
-
Lakir facepalmed. Lake didn't react, and James just shook his head.
-
"For the record, that crash right there wasn't my fault, okay? Anyway, nice to know you three are still alive and kicking. Heh... Can barely say the same for myself. Ahem"
-
Lakir," Do you usually make that much noise?"
-
"God no. Jaden sure does though. He's a friend of mine by the way, you guys wouldn't know him. But that's not important right now. What is important, and quite disturbing, is the massive dark storm surrounding this whore region. The epicentre of which, is here... You guys wouldn't know a reason for its existence, would you?"
-
James," A Dark Guardian. The person we're hunting down. On a scale of one to ten on how much trouble this guy is, I'd say twelve."
-
Edited by Moot: 12/9/2015 10:46:12 PM"Wait a sec... Is this... Aries, we're talking about here? He was a pretty livid dark guardian last time I remember meeting him... That dark bastard... I'd rate him 13 out of 12 in terms of being a victimised asshat"
-
James," The same one."
-
"The same damn Aries, huh... Well, holy damn. This explains the dark storm though. I was en-route to Dubrovnik in Croatia, Mediterranean, when the storm mysteriously manifested. I did the stupid warlock thing of letting my curiosity get the better of me. Tried to pass through the storm. Didn't work. Aaaand, I crashed as a result. Right here. Right now"
-
James," Well we're going to engage in combat with him. You're welcome to join. We need all the help we can get.
-
Edited by Moot: 12/9/2015 11:00:35 PM"Hah. With pleasure. That ex-guardian hurt a lot of innocent people, and I want some payback, and I'm sure all of you do too. Hopefully these ruined robes can still block a shot or two..."
-
James nodded and they moved on.
-
Jasher was suspicious that this was just a ruse to ambush a few Guardians. He stayed in camouflage and stepped soundlessly over to a wall near them.
-
James didn't say anything, but he noticed Jasher go invisible. He nodded and moved forward.
-
He stood still. ((He was camouflaged before, but okay.))
-
They moved forward silently. (( Sensory skills on point bro. ))
-
"Fine. You got me." He appeared a ways away from where they were looking. ((Whatever.))
-
(( I didn't say you had to reveal yourself! We're on the same side!)) They didn't really care, so they kept up the pace until they reached the end of the street.
-
"Wow. So much for a welcome..." He went after them. ((Explain it next time!!))
-
(( I figured it was self-explanatory! )) They waited at the end of the block for him to catch up.
-
"So. What're we doing again? A Dark something or other?"
-
James," Dark Guardian. A pretty nasty one at that."
-
"Oh. Great."
