Amazing how fast they put out a patch late at night to fix their wallet yet still screw over thousands of players with broken game mechanics. Hell, since TTK released the raid has had multiple bugs yet they go unfixed. Bungie in danger of losing some 10 dollar sales on their TWO MAP, ONE MODE "FREE EVENT"? patch overnight.
If you still support them after this you're nothing but a silver sucking desticle.
EDIT: let's see you defend bungie now, children. Cosmetics only, right guys? Paying for free dlc, right guys? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Shout out to people who waited months to get all 50 fragments and only got a timegated shader LOL
-
I agree with this statement.
-
They patched the 3 of coins just as fast, to stop people from just spamming bosses over and over. Still pretty shitty u gotta pay 10 bucks just for stat tracking
-
You didnt technically pay for thorn thats why
-
Fastest patch I have ever seen them do. And only because it had something to do with them losing money from the stupid books. Quiver took 2 months to fix ffs and they fix this in less than 24 hours lol
-
Edited by KidSixXx: 12/10/2015 2:28:43 PMUh, there are bugs in the Dragons Age games that have never been fixed.... at all.. And it took 8 months to fix Thorn because it takes time to compile data and test the fix. We're dealing with Weapon Tuning 2.0 because people whined about this and that in PvP and WT 1.0 went live before it was ready.
-
Well all this makes me do is go out and buy $10 worth of silver because I want the sparrow and shader.
-
The thorn was awesome. The thorn wasn't broke. You guys cried about it and they eventually changed it. :(...
-
Thorn was an overpowered weapon. Sparrow racing book was a bug. Big difference
I WANT MY REFUND... Bungie I paid $10 for the record book so I can get so cool cosmetic rewards, I worked hard for my rewards; but now people get them for free? REALLY BUNGIE is this you're way of showing appreciation for the people buying your stuff, because if so you guys are idiots. I want my refund!!— This is why they had to patch it really quickly.
-
Edited by Defyince: 12/10/2015 3:22:42 PMPeople spent $10 on that book, and people were finding a way to get past the payment of it and get it for free. So, they fixed it to make sure that the people who did end up buying it didn't waste their money. Plus, BALANCING and PAYMENT are 2 very different things! Balancing is a lot more touchy, and a lot more complicated.
-
I wish they were faster about fixing bugs and stuff, but the SRL racing book causes financial loss for both them and the customer. Additionally, the SRL book fix is most likely not as complicated as balancing a gun; however, I do agree that they sometimes make odd balancing decisions and ignore obvious issues for too long, but I don't have access to their code, management process, equipment, budget, etc... Bottom line is Thorn being OP doesn't take money out of their pockets and leave their customers feeling robbed by the people taking advantage of this obviously unintentional bug.
-
shut up, Meg.
-
Yea only idiots are left playing this game
-
And yet you still play the game. You're a smart one.
-
$$$$$$$$$$$
-
Bump, because you said "silver sucking desticle."
-
Well who doesn't care about money and at any rate the thorn wasn't that big of a deal to the players who hate or haven't played crucible
-
truth
-
Whether we like it or not, this game is now financed by these special events and silver purchases; no year two DLCs... It does not matter if we personally spent any silver on the book or not, or if we agree with micro-transactions at all since this is where we are and the current reality of destiny. That said, the people who spent $10 real money on a book that every player was getting the benefits of without making the purchase would and should have caused huge problems. Not all fixes have the same level of involvement, but this one had to be urgently addressed because of the real money elements. PS: I am not a desticle and I don't like micro-transations. I also have no sympathy for a company that finds itself in difficult situations as a result of its own actions, and bungie just keeps "screwing the pooch" over and over...
-
It's Pretty much ripping off the company when you do stupid exploits like that if people just played the damn game everything would be fine
-
A small bug like a book that can cause all sorts of customer service issues. A big Raid bug that, if not handled properly, can make a plethora of other bugs crawl out and break the game even further. It's not just about the money. The two bugs you are comparing have more differences, in terms of size and scope, than similarities.
-
What bugs in the new kings fall raid? I have not come across any that keep happening over and over like VoG or Crota Nothing of the sort Just curious
-
What a bunch of crybabies...

What a bunch of crybabies...
-
Seems like they are two completely different things to adjust. They have made it pretty clear that the adjusting involved adjusting guns capabilities are more complicated and have a bigger impact with change than some book stuff.

Edited by Himalayan Salt: 12/10/2015 2:22:56 PMHow does this relate to money yo... Just wondering. Because it seems to me that fixing the Thorn problem was far more difficult than simply making a wall where people used to pass illegally. This is like comparing the controversy of the atom bomb to illegal immigrants in America. Both are important, but one of them seems way more detrimental to the entire scheme of things than the otherl.
