It wasn't. Just because it was better than everything else doesn't mean it was broken.
Now the The Last Word glitch? That I can get behind as being broken but Thorn definitely wasn't.

What the hell are you talking about? Thorn had the glitch for final round. If a whole team was using Thorn in Trials you were almost forced to use it or TLW. People would 2 tap across the map and take cover as you burned to death. It was the most broken pvp gun that crucible has ever seen since Destiny's inception. Muted for going full retard.

Nobody even did the final round glitch; it just wasn't worth the hassle. OP is obviously referring to how it was broken good when comparing to something that was broken glitched.
