Yet those same dollars people are spending on these cosmetic items are paying for these updates. They did it equally for the money they can make but also making it so people didn't waste 10$ on nothing.

This^. You need to think. There are other reasons. And also for all we know they were fixing other guns at the time and we're waiting until they were all finished. And then they had to code it.

You paid your way out of DLC and instead get bi-monthly events I'd rather pay 20 for a new raid.

Maybe they didn't think they were good enough. And second of all I have not bought silver because I think it's a waist.

They just charged you half the price of a DLC TO TRACK YOUR STATS Why on earth go through the trouble of developing a DLC when you can release half-assed events like this and make just as much money?
