1. A hot fix on their end is not a patch.
2. The book fix was a simple coding and allowance set. Thorn was rewriting the gun.
3. Deal with it.

There's a post in this thread by a software programmer who explicitly said it's easier to change gun damage than it is to alter the book and lock items. At least you tried
-
Lmao No, is NOT easier to change how a weapon works in its entirety than it is to switch server side allowances. Secretaries allowances are as ready to change as flipping a lightswitch. Rewriting the code of a gun takes QUITE a bit more, even more so to make sure nothing else gets messed up in the process.
-
It doean't take "quite a bit". It is one of the easiest things to do.
-
Im assuming your talking to the other guy. Mobile forum doesnt always separate well.
-
No, my comment is attached to his reply, not yours... Lmao
-
Thorns damage wasnt an issue. It was how the fire rate and burn worked.
-
No, it was the mechanics and effects of the burn. The fire rate had nothing to do with it.
-
The fire rate had nothing to do with it.
You are totally wrong. You're probably one of Bungie's "balance" guys.
-
Go look for yourself kid. RoF had NOTHING to do with it.
-
Edited by user: 12/10/2015 4:58:51 PM1. Man. You really have to stop calling people "kid". 2. Rate of fire with Thorn's 2 headshots to kill thing was unbalanced. If it had very low RoF, then there would be no problem. Thanks, have a great day.
-
Wrong. RoF was not changed. KID. Don't like being called kid? Don't act like one. Check your info, get your stories straight, and don't talk back.
-
Edited by user: 12/10/2015 5:03:31 PMDid I tell you it was changed? -_- QUOTE ME on that. Thanks. I only told you , if the rate of fire was really low, then the weapon would be balanced. Learn to read and stop getting angry so fast. Typical Bungie's fanboy.
-
I'm not angry, nor am I a fanboy. You keep saying that the RoF was the problem, it was not. It was never touched.
-
And to have its functions separate from the Pvp environment.
-
Still easier to change than altering how the book works and adding locks to gear based on if the player has purchased an item or not. It's just common sense.
-
Do you even understand what was going on? They had to change Thorn fundamentally. The book was simple. Ask they had to do was turn off the rewards unless a simple check/pass cleared from the player. Thus; Book: EASY fix. First year coding students could do it for homework. Thorn: rewriting the gun fundamentally, potentially causing the gun to not work at all unless rewritten properly.
-
Read the thread dipshit. There is a lengthy post explaining why you're wrong and why you're an idiot.
-
Sorry but a pass check is far, FAR easier than changing how thrown functioned. For one thing it also takes a considerable play test to see if the gun was even changed and balanced correctly. So not only is it easier to set pass check but it's quicker too.
-
Check the info kid. I do this shit for a living. A check/pass is basic crap. Rewriting the mechanics of an item is not.
-
Have you tried reading the thread yet, big shot "I write code for a living" desticle warrior?
-
Not a desticle, nor a warrior. And yes, I read your post. That's why I replied.
-
Hows that flawed logic and no valid argument working out for you?
-
How is bungie's cock in your mouth working out?

Edited by DEATHMgck: 12/10/2015 9:37:54 AMYeah mate. I play more than destiny. I move the hell on if a company pisses me off to the extent you are. On top of that, literally every time you post you prove how little you understand the process. I award you with a mute and possibly a report. Edit: your last game was an hour ago
