Clan significance

I myself am a clan leader, but I feel like when I'm playing destiny, being in a clan has no significance whatsoever. There is nothing (in terms of bonuses) that you can get from being in a clan tbh and i think this needs to be fixed. I reckon a vendor for your clan (e.g: your clan leader) should appear in the tower similar to a faction vendor, but you earn reputation just doing anything while in the clan. The vendor will sell custom designed armor (designed by the clan leader) for legendary marks, such as with the factions. It should also be made that clan leaders can design an exotic primary with custom perks etc. to distribute to your clanmates once they reach a certain rank. Also clan gear (armor and weapons) can be bought cheaper from your clan vendor or received in packages. Leader should also design 3 emblems (indicating rank in clan (e.g: clan leader, clan lieutenant, and clanmate)) and also a clan shader. I think this would be a great addition to the game. edit: if we want this to happen we need for bungie to see this post, so tell your friends, tell anyone, comment, like, start related forums and link this post etc. and hopefully this will one day be a feature. edit: Bungie if you read this or have read it please comment the possibility of this feature as i think it would improve the game a lot and encourage cooperation between players. Also it would be nice to have this feature before christmas 2015 so that we can gift our clanmates with our clan specific exotic primaries. edit: expanding on Selkies_TEO's idea there should be a game type where a clan can perform a "raid" on another clan's ketch, gaining loot etc. It should include ship battles, boarding the ketch, killing enemies, setting up a transmat zone, incapacitating a ship (from the inside) and opening loot chests in a treasure room. In the ship battles your clan flies around in their ship, which is custom designed or one of three custom ships (from clan leader), and they will develop tactics to board the opposing ketch. At the boarding stage clanmates travel throughout the ketch to reach defence mechanisms, ie: weapons and shields. Then when the shields go down they claim a warp pad or something, similar to control, which can be used to transport your clanmates in. Then comes the final assault on the throne room to claim copious amounts of loot, ie: strange coins, motes, legendaries, possible exotics. At the end the losing team doesn't lose anything but the winning team gains glimmer, legendary marks, armor and weapons etc. If anyone is clanless and wants to change that Bane of the living will gladly recruit you.

Ill be back with a link to that one too... EDIT: Heres that link and there has been some great discussion in that comment section as well. I just bumped again too. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/169797321/0/0
