As far as I can tell...you're just another dumbass on the forums...so I'll try to avoid big words, and put it in terms you'll understand:
It is easier to do what they did with the book and gear associated with it, than it is to go in and simply "fix" all the little things you cry about in the raid. Fix 1 line of code, -blam!- up a few 100 somewhere else. Adjusting the raid is more complex, and therefore harder and more time consuming than changing gear req locks and other minor things.

ALL companies care about their income, not just Bungie. All of the employees have families they take care of, as well as supporting themselves and their hobbies. ALL COMPANIES want to be successful. Bungie is doing what others have been doing for YEARS. So please shut the -blam!- up, and stop singling them out, as if it's any different from CoD micro trans, or any other lame ass game that tries to compete with Destiny..
Bungie is doing what they can, with what they have. Deal with it.

If you actually [i]knew[/i] what you were talking about, you'd know things like weapon characteristics are usually tied to knob variables you can switch around in literally a second or two provided you know how you want to balance things out. Common-sense balance like thorn should have been an easier fix than any microtransaction issue. Not only do you have no idea what you're talking about, you're a hypocrite when it comes to insults. If you think devs etc need their time, tell me, just what is their actual working time going towards? It's been [b]three months[/b] since TTK got released, and we're still getting equipment from [b]pre-TTK[/b] with nothing to go with it besides more duplicates of one raid and a bumpercars gamemode. Destiny is a feeding tube that takes what you've already eaten and thrown up, then pours it back down your throat again and again because it can't do anything new, and you're sucking it all down.

I agree it is much harder to fix code for weapon changes or a bug but you cannot defend the 8 months it took for them to change broken game mechanics. Please stop defending bungie at every turn, thank you "Mr. Intelligent"

It's not the fixing that takes the 8 months. they don't need something solely on people's tears. They look at the stats of the weapons they need to decide what changes to make without ruining the weapon and keeping it on par with everything else. Once they do that they need to make sure it was changed without ruining the gun or messing up something else and if so restart. If not they then decide a patch release date and then release it. Something as simple as making the book required to be owned to get/use the rewards is no where near as tedious.
