Was lag. If you saw in the super slowmo The guy actually fired a shot off to hit you. But not only was this after he died but you can see he still was full health even though he died. You guys traded. But due to either lag or terrible server connection it didn't count as him killing you.

  • This happens to me, every now and then. It's possible it's people screwing around with their connection for an advantage if you ask me, since it's pretty rare but I've had it happen a few times with the same people. It happens when I kill someone, and they are obviously counted as dead for quite a long period, yet they somehow shoot me back well after my shot. The server is registering them as dead, and as that's the case they can't be awarded the kill. Normal kill trades happen at the same time on the other hand.

Doesn't make sense, as this game features post mortem kills and even awards medals for that. I had the same theory, but it doesn't add up. The guy should have gotten the kill. This must be some obscure bug, because what you noticed is true nonetheless. The enemy fired a shot, which then got bullet magnetised behind the cover. The enemy was also still alive on the screen, even though the kill feed showed him as dead. The kill feed also indicated that the OP killed himself before he killed the opponent. This is really weird. If it only happens on this map, it could be an issue with the low gravity settings.

  • This is the answer. The slo-mo explains it all.
