" Well. Do you know where she is or not?"
-
He cleared his throat and shuffled his feet. "She's, uh..." He mumbled something.
-
" Holy shit just spit it out!"
-
"She's dead!!!"
-
Lake's relief quickly turned into confusion and sorrow. He had always given it a though, that maybe she was dead, but he hoped dearly that it wasn't the case. Almost immediately, all he could think of at the moment was revenge. " Who.... Who did.... Who killed her?"
-
"I...I..."
-
" I'm not in the mood goddamnit! Tell me who did it!"
-
"I had to...he forced me..." Erik's shoulders shook.
-
Lake started to put the pieces together. " Don't tell me.... It was you?"
-
"I'm so sorry, Lake. I couldn't stop myself."
-
Edited by IXMMISmokey: 12/15/2015 11:35:51 PM" You're sorry..... You're -blam!-ing sorry?!" Lake punched Erik in the face, hard. It was enough to break his hand, but it didn't matter to him. " I loved her! You were her brother! And all you have to say, is that you're sorry?!"
-
He didn't react. "It wasn't my decision..."
-
Lake sank to his knees. He was broken at this point. I can bring her back. Just join me. A voice called out to him in his head. It was drawing him in, promising him a brighter future. It promised him the power to bring back the one he loved. His Light was diminishing. It was being replaced with something much darker. And he let it happen. " I ought to rip you into pieces."
-
"I know. But that would be disaster. Not just for me, but for the Last City. All these civilians."
-
Fight later. Then you can do whatever it is you wish. Lake fully succumbed to the Darkness inside him. " You're right. I'll kill you later..." He stood up. A portal formed in front of him.
-
Erik noticed something behind Lake. "Oh no..." 'Lake...?'
-
" What do you want...?"
-
It was Abby. She was perfectly fine, not injured at all. "How did you live?!" Erik ran forward and pulled her into a tight hug. 'I don't know..."
-
Lake was gone. (( No mister! You shall not trick me with your vile sorcery!
-
She looked at where Lake was a few moments ago. 'What happened?' "He's turned."
