Derek Carroll Quote:
“Trials of Osiris, Because it is an In-game activity we want you to bring a pre-made fireteam. we will find you enemies but we won’t find you friends.”
before we continue you should check out my other thread https://www.bungie.net/ga/Forum/Post/124246947/0/0 .
This quote is the reason why their is no OPTIONAL Match Making for Trials of Osiris to form a team. now if we they continue to persist this to be their philosophy why does mostly every other IN-GAME ACTIVITY have MM. this is a complete contradiction of their Philosophy. Will you Continue to remain ignored? or is enough enough? lets share this Shooter World! :D
Those Who Agree with Quote DO understand you are saying their Should Be No Match-Making At All For Any activity! meaning you would need to use the bungie app or other LFG dites to begin any Activity!

Edited by Cooper: 12/17/2015 4:01:43 PMSome activities are good for OMM, some are not. I think ToO isn't. But as you leave me no choice to restrict my vote just to ToO I have to vote for no OMM as I really wouldn't like to deal with AFKers in that game mode. Still I think this game needs some kind of LFG system in game where you can find people who actually commit to the activity, not just press X and then leave for dinner.
we will find you enemies but we won’t find you friends.
Translation: We did the bare minimum to pull this activity together. We took skirmish and turned off respawn. We put matchmaking in but only the minimalist work we can get away with. Yes we'll find you enemies since that's the only way you'd find enemies BUT we won't RANK the matchmaking, that's too much work. Find you a team? That's another layer of matchmaking that we just don't want to expend the effort on. Anyway here you go, round based skirmish with the most basic of basic matchmaking. Bet you thought we actually put development time into this.
-
That quote is a rediculous reason not to have optional matchmaking. What this gamr needs, at minimum, is an in-game LFG system. It's pathetic that we have to leave the game to play the game.

Look Mary, some game modes are good for mm, some are not. Try and understand the difference. It's not hard.

Edited by UFSman: 12/17/2015 5:48:55 AMPeople are idiots if too had match making people would get banned for reporting the afk person for being unhelpful to much and that would go the same for the noobs etc.

Git gud #Checkm9

So in one topic you insist that this guy said that there shouldn't be any matchmaking, and this one you're just talking about trials. Which is it?
-
To the answer the question, yes. Pre made teams made of people that are competent and work well together tend to do better against teams randomly thrown together. I'm not against OMM, but if it was going to come it would already be here. They're already in the habit of giving us old exotics. I don't expect to see anything new in the works as far as matchmaking goes.
-
They are going to help us find enemies but not friends? What?
-
If people were truly skilled or want a real challenge then mm wouldn't be an issue. Of course this is coming from a non pvp player in Destiny. If people were as good as they claimed to be they could go flawless with randoms.

Stop with the self bumps......pathetic attention whore! !!!!!!

Sure.

As much as I understand optional matchmaking should be available for just about everything, I disagree with it for Trials and any future competitive PvP environments. With ToO, as soon as OMM is added, the average skill and teamwork will drop significantly. Because there is no matchmaking, each team will have more communication and typically more skill than any OMM teams.
