According to bungie thier should be NO Match-Making At all.

anyone who agree's with Derek Carroll's Comment also agrees that every Activity should not have Matchmaking.
that means no MM for the following:
1) EVERY Crucible Activity! that means you need to use the bungie app or other LFG sites to do any PvP activity.
2) No PvE Matchmaking. meaning you must also use the bungie app or other LFG site to Start an activty.
[b]if you do not agree i suggest you let it be known to Bungie staff with a Vote on Disagree with their Philosophy.
anyone can understand that this comment is contradictory with what is already in game .
your vote counts.implementing Optional Matchmaking has been long forgotten but you can make a difference. vote bump and Like! rise the awareness Guardians! bungivision hopes you forget. but we do not. we know their lies and will call them out on it. :D[/b]

Trials I understand no matchmaking. Nightfall and Poe should definitely have it and raids maybe. I really think they need to do a test run or something to prove it wouldn't work. Make vog match made for a week or two

15 RepliesThere is no yes or no answer. Imagine doing the oryx challenge with a bunch of randoms not having mics or experience. I am not against having MM available for raids, but I think it will be a recipe for a very bad experience in Destiny. However, Nightfalls should have matchmaking enabled. There was a time when even the weeklies didn't have matchmaking, and Bungie later added it. Nightfalls should be next. But raids? *Shudder*

6 RepliesDude, plz sthap, you're blowing this way out of proportion. He clearly meant endgame activities. It makes sense in trials so you don't get matched up against a bunch of randoms and stomp them, vise versa.

I can see trials being one that it shouldn't have optional matchmaking, but as far as the rest of the [b]main[/b] activities they should have that option. Its not like we haven't been helped ourselves through raids or other Activities. Plus its not like majority of gamers don't know how to run the raids either. There is always ways to work around things and if it don't work out you still have options.

Where in that quote does it say all activities shouldn't have matchmaking? Because I think you're putting words into his mouth. He was only referring to Trials, which shouldn't have matchmaking, not to every other in game activity. Other things that should never have matchmaking, optional or not, the raids. The 35 PoE. Trials. And the nightfall [i]only[/i] if the 'go to orbit' modifier is active like it was in year one. Things that should have matchmaking? Everything we have now plus the 34 and 32 PoE and the nightfall.

1 ReplyNot trials but everything else deserves matchmaking. I used to be against MM but every problem with it has a solution. I mean -blam!-, they experiment in every other aspect of this game. The least they could do is [i]prove[/i] to us it doesn't work. But I guarantee the right implementation would disprove their philosophies more than reinforce them.

It would be nice to have the option if my friends are offline and when not I'd love more random people to group up against me if I finally jump into Trials, it would make it a cake walk with teams not communicating. For the raid... optional would be fine, I'd never use it. I've had teams the DO communicate and that can still turn ass up in an instant because people don't want to follow command even when they can't give direction. "Lead, follow, get out the way" couldn't be truer with for PUGs.

1 ReplyI mean, I think you are blowing his quote out of proportion. He didn't mean no matchmaking for normal PvP. That being said, I agree there should be some form of optional way of finding partners for ALL activities, IN the actual game.

I'm okay with no optional matchmaking in Trials and any other hyper competitive PvP modes they might add in the future. Everything else should have the option.
