On Eververse consumables being a HUGE breach of trust.

Now I am normally the guy who would defend destiny's micro transactions, and defend the games integrity, and possible longevity. I have been informed that the thing they said they specifically wouldn't be selling. They are now selling booster consumables.... Now listen, this may not be a huge thing in some of your eyes, but let me tell you why I think it is. Then if you would listen, and point your gaze towards the Bungie Weekly Update – 10/15/2015. https://www.bungie.net/7_Bungie-Weekly-Update--10152015/en/News/News?aid=13762 You can see there is a comment by Deej on the whole leaked consumable things. Now we all know they were all remnants of things that could have been in Xurs inventory of highly disappointing stuff, that didn't make the final judgement of the Bungie team. Now this isn't what I am going to talk about, the main thing in this weekly update was the quote that was to be resembled as the community asking if they were putting anything in that wasn't purely cosmetic: “Someone datamined files that prove Tess will be selling King’s Fall consumables! You said you wouldn’t do that! Why are you doing that!?” The main part of this quote is this: "selling King’s Fall consumables! You said you wouldn’t do that!" "YOU SAID YOU WOULDN'T DO THAT!" Then guess what Deej said like a ghost that caught its light bulb on a wire: "We’re not doing that." Ok this may seem like I am twisting the context in a way I want, but if you look closely you can see it is in context, and Bungie did say they wouldn't be adding in anything that wasn't cosmetic. Until now. Why is this a problem you may ask? Well it certainly isn't because Kinderguadians can level up for a wopping 40$. It's that they BLATANTLY said over, and over again in the updates that this wouldn't happen. Why is this a problem for the future you may ask? Well if I remember correctly everyone was freaking out about microtransactions because of how some MMOs have died in the past because of this market scheme, and they have! There are allot of MMOs that went from pay once to play the game, then goes full on pay to win micro transactions. If you look at it this way: if they said they wouldn't bring in consumables that temper with your experience, then they did. Who is to say they won't bring in special exotic weapons, or engrams, and armor packages that are for the top tear player if you pay a hundred bucks. Where do they draw the line at how greedy they will go? WHERE DO THEY DRAW THAT LINE? Now of course these are to fuel the micro transaction events, and stuff, but why did they have to bring non-cosmetic items into this? Even if they said this: “So we’re not looking at any pay-for-power type stuff. That’s what I hear as a player when people say they’re worried about models and schemes that nickel and dime people; we’re not going to do that.” How do we know we can trust their word when they are already breaking their promised marketing platform. Bungie has already milked the people that started the game when it came out with it's season pass (35$), The game( 60$), and TTK ($40). (A WOPPING 135$). The fact that these DLCs were pretty much mandatory in order to keep playing is appalling, when I was a kid there was a game like that it was called Wizard 101, and it's marketing scheme is genius. It goes like this: You can play, and play, and play in the areas you are given, but to keep playing, and playing, and to get to the end game you have to pay for areas to unlock, and you always want to see what is in that area so you ask your mom, and dad for 20$. Activision still is hiding how many copies were sold at launch so we still have no idea how much money they made on that. We do however know how much they made the first day, and how big it was. Here's a quote: "Destiny sold over $500 million into retail on day one, making it the best-selling new video game IP of all time according to publisher Activision Blizzard (ATVI.)" Now if this is true "the best-selling new video game IP of all time " WHY THE HECK HAY ARE WE GETTING MICROTRANSACTIONS LEADING INTO YEAR TWO! It makes absolutely no sense, just going off that number they made so much money you could buy 5 gold plated yachts with that crud. If you look at some other games that did pretty well that had servers, and teams working on it. Some of them don't need microtransactions. Now if this number didn't really decline that much after the first day which it usually doesn't when teams release a game. They have all the money in the world to make free DLCs, stuff, and content. Look at halo 3, and some of the games Bungie has made. They put out tons of free DLCs. It just doesn't make sense to me if it was the biggest launch in history they needed to revert to microtransaction leading into year 2. Anyways it all comes down to speculation at that point, but I wish they'd release the information on how many copies were sold so we could know the truth. I just wish we could pull the curtain back, and see what the puppet master is doing. I got slightly off topic there, because it really seems to me that Osama BinBungievision is pulling some scandalous stuff at their home base if they are just going to straight up lie about what they are going to milk people of their money with. At the end of the day Destiny isn't horrible, it's just greedy. Gunplay is smooth, graphics are beautiful, and everyone is paying for DLCs because they have to to have a larger game experience. *Drops mic* Edit: News on new BOOSTER PACKS: http://planetdestiny.com/new-consumables-eververse/ Edit 2: if you are going to comment without reading, then don't comment. I have stated everything clearly this isn't about stupid data mined quack theories, and or me being angry about people getting to level 25. Neither is it about me complaining about how it's pay to win. This is about my concern with the future of this game, and the future of Destiny 2.
