Saber News Stories 12-17-15

Welcome back to another week of Saber News Stories. We realize that this week’s segment is a day late due to College Finals that thank god are finally done. Well last week we talked about the King’s Fall Challenge modes for Warpriest and Golgoroth as well as spoke about the new temporary event that is Sparrow Racing. We also introduced a new product that definitely can make your life safer through a personal shield. In this week’s edition we will be discussing the final challenge mode for King’s Fall, the Oryx Challenge as well as speak about the new Titan gear that gives us an evasive advantage. And finally there is no product this week but we do have something that might be just as good, we’ll let you decide. Challenging the King In the third week of King’s Fall challenge modes, we have Oryx, The Taken King. The last two challenges proved to be not so challenging, well Golgoroth kind of was a bit difficult but anyways this week’s about the King. As many of you know, this week’s challenge actually made many of you Guardians step out of your comfort zone. Yes we are talking about you No Knight Strat people. This challenge actually required you to kill the Ogres before staggering Oryx. We know that Knights will spawn with the death of their corresponding Ogre. Since the challenge requires 16 orbs to be detonated at once essentially the fourth wave of Ogres, you have to kill the Ogres as fast as possible to keep the orbs near each other. Then you had to kill the Knights that would spawn otherwise they will “eat” your orbs essentially causing a wipe. Reports have stated that trying to go a fifth round if an orb is eaten has caused the game to freeze upon detonating the orbs. All in all this challenge really is not difficult at all for those who are used to the regular strategy. The rewards are pretty good well except for the measly shader you get for collecting all 50 fragments. 320 primary weapons and helmets have been confirmed as well as an emblem and that badass ship we all want. Well those are the challenges maybe Bungie will change them up as time passes, probably not. Now onto our next piece. An Evasive Titan Advantage With the December update, Bungie released a few new Exotic weapons and armor. One of these Exotics is the Twilight Garrison, a Titan Chest piece that looks a bit goofy but has one really badass function. (Drumroll)…. Us Titans finally have Blink…well sort of. It is more like a strafing maneuver in mid-air. It is quite fun to play around with and actually very useful when dodging incoming attacks. Now this is where things have taken a turn for the worst…well at least it has for Hunters and Warlocks. While you guys had blink to dodge attacks and supers as well as that all annoying blink-shotgun crap, we had nothing but shoulder charge which didn’t really help avoid anything really. Now there is an uproar coming from Hunters and Warlocks crying for a nerf or removal of the armor…. Ugh you guys can never be satisfied can you? Yall finally got us Sunbreakers knees blown out by the Bungie Nerf Bat and now you can’t even take a little dodging capability that Titans lacked. You know I am going to end this section here before I go off on a rant. Here is a video that should help add to the salty tears being shed over the Twilight Garrison. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8Q3FizxJUM Credit goes to its creator ByeBye Cirque Du BladeDancer Instead of a product this week, we are going to talk shortly about a returning act that was on hiatus due to an accidental death. Luckily nobody was harmed… well due to the resurrecting capabilities of Ghosts. Anyways Cirque DU BladeDancer is an amazing but elegant display of acrobatics mixed with dance. The dancers display heartfelt and intrinsic dance all while sporting blades. Twirling them, tossing them to one another, and showing blade work moves that would make any knife enthusiast be overcome with ecstasy. The acrobats soar high above the stage using Blink technology that allows them to move very quickly for an instance that seems like teleporting or Blinking. They jump over one another, “Blink” through each other, and even launch one another even higher in the air. Their dazzling display is ever so elegant that it has attracted quite a few celebrities such as the speaker, the ever elusive Stranger, and even Cayde-6, Although Cayde only appears to be there to see the female acrobats in their tights. Admission price is $25.00 for adults and $15.00 for children. $10.00 for Veterans. Well that’s all so now onto our announcements. Announcements Well we don’t have very many announcements this week except that we hope you have a great Christmas and for those who don’t celebrate it Happy Holiday’s. Our first announcement is that there is only twelve more days left for Sparrow Racing. If you want an easy 320 Helmet, that is where you go. Our second and last announcement is just try to enjoy the Holiday’s these next few weeks. Try to be nice on the forums and help out the incoming Christmas Kinderguardians that will be coming. Well that’s all we have this week, don’t forget to check out our elder brother station the Unofficial Weekly Update anchored by MurdiusMaximus every Thursday. Also check out this video I created for MOTW submission. Remember you heard it first from your friendly neighborhood Sabertooth Tiger.
