Another reason to be cautious about where you take your car. A gentleman took his Audi S4 in to a oil change shop for an oil change. Instead of performing the oil change, they cut a hole in his aero pan and proceeded to drain his DSG fluid, and overfill his oil. This is a reminder to be careful about who works on your car.

Its really hard now a days to find a shop that you can trust. My family had one we thought we could trust and we kept taking our cars there until we noticed that our cars were having problems every month. I stopped going and never had anopther problem again so far. makes me think they were setting up our cars for failure just so wed have to bring em back in

My family once took our car to what we thought was a trusted dealer. When we went to pick up the car we realized they used it to go buy pizza. How did we know this?
the idiots left the receipt inside.
That's what you call stupid

What I don't understand is why this idiot took it to an independent instead of the dealer. Guy spends 50-60 grand on a car and can't afford to take it to the dealer? I work in a Ford dealer (parts manager) and see stupid crap like this all the time. My favorite is when someone brings their non ford vehicle in for service and then complains that they have to wait for parts. SERIOUSLY? The Chevy store is across the street. You could have taken your Chevy to them and not waited. It makes me want to set their face on fire and put it out with a pickaxe.

Edited by ALoafOfBagels: 12/18/2015 5:21:19 AMMore like why you don't take your cars to garages/mechanics you don't know/trust, just do if yourself. Especially oil changes those are easy and quick

Holy shit that's brutal

Jesus...

Holy shit thats horrible! Exactly why I do my own oil

Oh man, that is heart wrenching! Glad it worked out in the end for the guy though. I don't have a garage to do my own changes these days so I have to do the same. I fortunately have a semi reliable mechanic I go to, but this still scares me every time!!

I think the biggest problem here is why they call if a lube shop.
