Fortunately sparrow racing is way more lag tolerant. Worse case in SRL is somebody warps in front of you or blinks in and out of existence or you think you nosed out somebody at the finish, but the scoreboard says they beat you by 2 seconds. Lag in crucible is more like you die, get the message you were killed by X with a shotgun, then see X with a shotgun run over you.
