I highly doubt that SRL is consuming the player base to the point of breaking matchmaking. It's not substantial enough to explain away matchmaking issues do to low player numbers. The only logical explanation is a crumbling player base. Bungie was just trying to not admit it by putting a positive spin on SLR when we all know millions of people are not exclusively sparrow racing. They are playing games with titles other than Destiny.

That's what I was pointing out. 2. Third party sites are indicating that PvP participation isn't really down. So it seems like it really is just SRL dominating the PvP matchmaking.
