So to start, it was a decent movie, I did like it. There were just several things I disliked. Some significantly more than others.
There was so much comedy.
there was a joke every like 5 minutes it felt like. I enjoy a laugh, but when the galaxy is about to get obliterated, I'd rather be gripping my seat, not laughing at the 25th witty crack...
Kylo ren is a trained sith/Jedi or whatever
while he isn't a perfect force or lightsaber user by any means, he's definitely had to have had some training in swordplay. He fights 2 untrained people, and loses. Sure ray has used her staff which may simulate and she has the force, I don't by it but for this let's just say it slides. Finn, he has nothing. He was trained with blasters if anything. He holds his own against Ren and gets the little side beam into his shoulder for several seconds. He then retaliates with that same arm 2 swings later and beats Ren. Like is Kylo ren that bad?
Rey just understands the force?
she doesn't know what the force is capaple of. She hasn't talked to anyone about it or had any training, yet decides to use a mind trick? OK so maybe the force told her to do that. Personally I don't buy it but it can slide I guess. But what about that point with kylo ren where she's on the cliff and just medicated for a minute. Kinda going back to my previous point, does he think she's just gonna give up? Kick her off or something! Its a solid 20 seconds of just standing!
A *gasp* THIRD death star?!
does not a single person in the empire have a new idea? And even so how could they have built a whole planet in secret? The resistance doesn't run the government or anything, and as far as we know the only threat is the first order. So shouldn't the resistance be tracking their movements?
Smaller annoyances
in the father son scene, why are there NO handrails?

captain phasma got so much publicity, and had as much screen time as luke

if I remember correctly, every single new main character is either female or a minority. Just felt like Disney had to push diversity. Could just be my cisgender white male superiority though.

no JAR JAR?!?!

kylo ren, removed his mask so early, loosing his intimidation factor
If there's others I'll add them later. Also mention anything you noticed.
Please discuss these points I'd love to hear what you've got to say.
