I believe Bungie does lie to us.
I think this points to a bigger problem. Bungie's attempts at making destiny competitive is ruining the game. This isn't halo. It's not supposed to be balanced, it's supposed to be fun.
I think the push towards competitive play has completely screwed up destiny. And this new skill based matchmaking is only another symptom of the bigger problem.

Tbh I enjoy it, as I don't play 3vs3 modes. I only play 6vs6 objective based modes, and I like the competition. It's better imho. But I absolutely can't handle the lag. The hit registration and lag are incredibly annoying.
