This scene is both amazing and true. America is a shadow of its former self and there's no one president who's going to fix that. Our ideology, way of thinking and goals are petty and weak. Wake up.
Liberals can't fix this nation alone, and neither can Conservatives. No party is better than the other. We all want the same thing, and the only way of achieving that is by uniting under the flag and standing by this nation. Open your eyes America.

Edited by OurWildebeest: 12/19/2015 2:30:32 PMThe scene is a deliberate misunderstanding of what "greatest country" means. You can rattle off stats to support almost any point of view. It is easy to selectively make things sound better or worse than they are. What makes America special is that America is the only large country with a government system based on distrust of government. Our founding fathers saw rights as being granted by God, not government - the government only recognized (rather than denied) rights that existed anyway. The government, particularly the federal government, was divided, shackled and restrained to prevent it from trampling the states and the people. Most governments in world history approach it differently - with God-anointed kings, or populist dictatorships, or even in the case of elected governments, where rights are perceived as something granted by government. The practical effect of this is that the U.S. has a relatively small government and very strong economy. But if you are of an authoritarian mentality that values strong central leaders telling people what to do, America gives you conniption fits. You dislike the basis of America. You want to change it so it is more like all the other countries. So, you come up with stats that you think prove "America sucks" and you have an imaginary news anchor rattle them off, as if he is a brilliant and knowledgeable figure correcting an ignorant college student.
