well i wouldn't phrase it that way but yes a lot of people moved to SRL hence match making taking forever to fill up. but it does bring up your point that if destiny was still popular as it was SRL should not be a major factor in crucible matches not filling up. yes destiny has lost a good amount of player. no the game is not dying they moved to SRL and average to above average crucible players stick to their usual routine and play regular crucible.
