I took some inspiration from other sources (most notably the EM1 laser in CoD:AW), but here's my fanmade exotic weapon with explanation/rationale afterwards:
Black MIDI\ V2 (Auto Rifle)
What do you mean I'm not supposed to use it that way?
RoF: 150-300 (Final RPM should equal 60000)
Impact: .01-.3
Range: 100 (or whatever number is necessary to equal 65 on a sniper rifle)
Stability: 15
Reload: 20
Magazine: 600/1800 reserve
Perks:
-1: -Special Handling (This weapon is equipped in the secondary slot)
0: -Solar Damage
-Advanced Recoil Comp. (Only 6 rounds in every magazine will have significant recoil)
-Infuse
1: -CQB Ballistics
-Accurized Ballastics
-Linear Compensater
2: -Crowd Control
3: -Hammer Forged
-Speed Reload
-Smallbore
4: -Mulligan
Aesthetics: Vanilla FR frame (Praetorian Foil) with an extended barrel, much larger "battery", 4th Horseman-like stock, and an EagleEye scope with Tacsys zoom level. Final paint job should be primarily black with orange or blue highlights. A random synthesizer pitch in Eb major would sound every 12-13 shots.
The name is in direct reference to black MIDI (a subculture on the internet where crazy people go and make synthesized songs that literally paints ones screen black upon replay... just look it up), which is why it is an Auto Rifle with insane RoF. Impact should be adjusted so that each 100 or so bullets at near optimum range is equivalent to 1.25 shots from a 24 impact sniper (as getting the full effect requires keeping the sights on target for one whole second). In effect, this weapon would be similar to a laser cannon. The exotic perk is designed so that every 100 bullets or so, the weapon should kick pretty significantly in order for the weapon to be balanced (all the other 594 bullets will still have some recoil, but at 100+ stability. Also, there is some chance involved in that the first 6 bullets you fire could potentially be the 6 with massive recoil). Reload and stability are purposely designed to be crappy for balancing as well. The selectable perks could be changed, but I found the idea of mulligan on a weapon like this to be pretty funny (almost like a Y1 SGA-kind of funny, assuming that the perk kicks in 20% of the time).
As far as grimoire goes, it would be a weapon hastily built by a guardian at the battle of 6 fronts (or an iron banner lord). Part of the weapons build would included computer parts from a nearby internet server (which housed black MIDI files) The quest for it would also partially elaborate on who or what MIDA is (hence the "I\" in the name) and would be given out as part of the Iron Banner.
Any comments or suggestions on this weapon, probably never to see the light of day? Maybe a weapon like this could crash consoles, much like real life black MIDIs...
