While looking for information on upcoming game Battleborn I came across this interesting article.
In this article Randy Varnell the creative director on Battleborn, sits down with a game reviewer to explain his game.
Among many other things he mentions the influence of Destiny as it comes to MICROTRANSACTIONS...
." I pushed him further: so does this mean no microtransactions in Battleborn at all? "Microtransactions we haven't said yay or nay yet" he replied, clearly choosing his words carefully, "We pay a lot of attention to it and listen to what people say. We're watching Destiny and seeing what's happening with that... at the end of the day we are a business, we make games and sell them to people. In Borderlands we made and sold extra characters and they were hugely successful for us and the fans loved them."
Congratulations Destiny community. You are now deciding the course of history
This is just information. I'm not trying to tell you how to play or what to do with your money, only to inform you that it does have consequences. You are literally shaping how this billion dollar industry will continue into the future.
