Why doesnt any one think of drugs and substances in the big picture. They down weed for being what its not. Here are some statistics for you if u want to challenge me.
Just because something is legal doesnt make it safe. More people die every year from alcohol and pain Od's than most "hardcore" drugs combined. I believe about 47,000 people died from OD's on pain drugs back in 2012 and since that that number has nearly doubled, but hey! Its legal am i right. Weed has never killed any one, EVER. Alcohol poisoning hit 88,000 last year and thats a low. With all that prescription meds were the cause of over 100,000 deaths just last year. Keep in mind 188,000 people died from LEGAL drugs and no one from weed.
Another fun statistic for you:
440,000 people died from tobacco related reasons and 20,000 due to the HARDCORE drugs such as heroine and other terrible drugs.
These statistics make you question why many of the "legal" drugs are legal and why weed isnt legal in all places. Do your research before coming to conclusions about whats good and whats bad.

Lazy people are just lazy people. Whether they are high or not they will be lazy. In fact it's lazy to just assume that somehow thc is to blame for people being ineffective at life.
-
Sure. Tell yourself that.
-
You don't die from weed, you die from the lung cancer it can give you
-
Cases of lung cancer caused by weed? Very unlikely considering there is less tar in weed than tobacco and you are also consuming less tar each time you smoke whereas the average smoker smokes a whole pack the average stoner smoke just a pinch of weed
-
To continue from my other comment, it's not the tar or chemicals in the cigarettes that cause the cancer. Its the apparatus. Same for marijuana. Smoke it from any sort of paper or parch? Carcinogens. Smoke it from glass? Carcinogens. From plastic bottles etc? Carcinogens. Not to mention other latent chemicals used in the process of making the plastic bottle. No matter what, if you're smoking something, you're killing yourself. The problem I have with stoners? They will be diagnosed with cancer, and try to blame it on everything but the drug they so fervently rely on. Which leads me to addiction but I'm not getting into that with a stoner...

Edited by GotSomeFire: 12/25/2015 5:14:26 PMYou speak with such certainty but there are actual peer reviewed studies which are unable to find any correlation between weed and cancer so you're not even speaking in facts... And the majority of cancer causing carcinogens in tobacco come from the plant, not the paper/glass. Those carcinogens are not in marijuana.

I'm pretty sure OP's post wasn't an attack on marijuana. I've always wondered why stoners get so defensive.
-
"Weed hasn't killed anyone" -last I checked, being high is one of the causes of crashes...
yes it's the crash that kills, but the crash could have been prevented if the person didn't get high.
-
You are right. It can be a factor but it is not a leading cause. More people drink and drive than anything else out there. Go find a statistic to back up your clearly bias argument. Texting is a large factor but i dont hear you talking about that. Speeding is another but thats not valid, oh what about generally stupid people? Nahh. We need to account for the 1% of crashes and try to make an argument
-
Far right dumbass.
-
Prove it. There are no statistics whatsoever to back up your claim.
-
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Ohhhh hahahahahaha Jesus
-
You are wrong buddy. It's alcohol. Potheads don't leave the house
-
No, potheads do leave thier house and drive, and accidents happen when they do.
-
Theres a study that show that people drive better under the influence of pot than under the influence of alcohol. Much better that is. Due to this one could easily say that those that drive under the influence of weed put less people at risk than those under the influence of alcohol.
-
Had a fatal accident happened while the person driving was high? Yes. But if you were actually educated you'd know that there have been multiple studies/tests done. Marijuana has a very small effect on a person's ability to drive, and in almost all cases the person drives slower and more carefully due to the paranoia effect. The same cannot be said for alcohol. That being said, nobody should drive under the influence of anything. (Heavy prescription drugs may be more dangerous than anything).
-
Woah. Is that... Is that another person i see with common sense that did their research??
-
That all may very well be true. But I've never once met a pothead that contributed to society. They've all been low down good for nothing scumbags. All those other people you mentioned (alcoholics, pain pill poppers, etc.) actually can hold down a job (in most cases).

-
Not true. In fact you sound extremely stupid. Alcohol is easily the worst and most dangerous drug in the world. Why? Because it's engrained into society as if it's harmless, when it's actually the biggest strain on any health service.

No shit Sherlock. Alcohol is the most dangerous because it's so easy to obtain. I never once said it wasn't, I just stated that I know a few functioning alcoholics that are damn hard workers (although they have a serious problem). I've never met a hard working pot head. Lol

Either bait or one of the most ignorant things I've ever heard lmao.

It's too easy to get stoners riled up.
