Ginger shifts his balance to his left leg, merely a habit, "I've worked for a great many people over the years, but all for unequivocally imperative reasons. Why should I owe you anything?"

"Because I'm thinking unless you'd be happy to settle in this lovely little corner of space, we're the only ones capable of sending you home. Oh, and one more thing. The enemy we're facing? They won't ask why they should kill you. They just will."

Ginger stops leaning on his leg, and begins pacing on his side of the room, deliberately and rather annoyingly, "So... I'm stranded, in unfamiliar territory, with a ruthless enemy, and my only hope of getting home is putting my faith in some people that I've never encountered, and have no reason to believe can't handle themselves. You speak as if your society is a utopia, but clearly something is amiss if you must rely upon [i]our[/i] help. Why else would you not simply send us home? Would that not be the just thing to do?"

"Because, you see, it's in both our interests to stop the Assembly. We need an exterior approach to this issue. This is the third time they've come after us, and I do intend on making it the last one. Besides, plot wise, it's important to have you play a part, even if it's only a minor one. Consider it a filler. But anyhow, we're in need of an exterior strike force. The Borgaan have seen our approach twice now, they know how to save themselves. They haven't thought of you in their calculations."
