Maybe some of you already know Xim, maybe some of you don't.
What it does is that it allows you to play console games with mouse & keyboard.
So, what do you think. Hacks? Unfair? I was just curious. I don't own one but would love to try it. ;>

Edited by reg86: 12/22/2016 12:27:04 PMits just a diffrent controller should we ban elites and outher mod cases is it really hacking... its not software editing, its controller imput modification or is it becuse we could all buy a titan one ect we could buy an elite controller with the paddles on and remapped buttons or dose destiny have a locked controller type, whean xbox gains mouse and keybored mapping for online games next year in 2017 will it be ok to use a mouse and keybored then... i dont know but its not hacking its just unfair becuse not everyone who feels more comfterbul with a mouse can afford a controller mod like myself , and yeah i have noticed most streamers for trials dont seem to have both hands placed on one controller right arm waves around left stays still so yeah..... only against the rulles becuse its not xbox certified but wait untill it is.....

Its just how someone plays their game their way and style.

Edited by Bitter Mercy: 1/6/2016 7:35:05 AMI've been using K&M on Console for a little while now, I can agree, it's unfair in competitive multiplayer, as you're definitely granted an advantage over another player on controller. K&M doesn't translate very well to console though, many games on console use Look Acceleration and Aim Assist which can seriously screw with your aiming ability with the mouse, Halo 5 being a good example, as it makes the aim feel very slippery. Sensitivity is also very slow, if any PC players are use to CS and TF2, they'll have to throw their preferences in the bin, because you can only move so fast, no matter what settings you're using on your connecting device. I come from a Doom, Quake, Unreal Tournament, TF2 so, I personally feel more comfortable using K&M, I use it for roughly 90% of my console gaming, as I don't own a PC powerful enough to play games these days and my trusty ol' laptop ain't up to par anymore. Overall, it's a big shift from 1:1 PC gaming, but, it works fine and feels comfortable for the most part. Is it unfair to other players? Yes Should you play competitive PvP with it? No Is it breaking any rules? No In fact, Sony just recently licensed their first K&M set-up a couple days ago, Google it.

That was very painful to watch. Very slow and he wasn't playing good people at all

Holy shit this post is a mess. Wtf are you even asking? Is it: "Is using keyboard and mouse unfair?" And wtf did you say "hacks" for? Nothing here had anything to do with hacks..
-
I don't see the problem with it unless you use it to do something you shouldn't be able to do with a normal controller.
-
I get code of conduct for posting in this section about a way to fix elemental burns on primaries and this guy is now posting about destiny I may be wrong but talking about destiny in the non destiny forum is what I got banned for this kind of thing isn't allowed here maybe you should do #destiny since you know this is the kind of thing you get banned for
-
Says in nerdy voice "Uhh guys what's a keyboard and mouse? All I know is my controller."
-
It's not hacking, but it is unfair considering how everyone plays on console is with a controller, and the fact that a mouse and keyboard are far more precise than a controller.
-
I beats lems in csgo all the time with a controller.

Just a different way of playing really. People say that mouse is more accurate for fps but I feel more comfortable with a controller.
-
This is something i would definitely invest in. Thanks for showing me the product lol. Now i think this could be unfair or just in the grey area. I guess it just depends on the player if the player with the mouse and keyboard can handle the limited restrictions like lower DPI, aim assist, smoothness of aiming, etc. Personally I wouldn't mind the limited restrictions. I strive well on both controller and mouse & keyboard. Though, the idea playing console games with mouse and keyboard especially on FPS console games has been catching my interest and would like to do a test run someday.

Mods Mods Mods Mods Mods
Oh, that's right. They're more worried about banning stupid things rather than keeping the forums organized
Using the Xim4 on consoles will give u a slight advantage not a Full one. The reason is because your mouse will only turn as quick as the highest sensitivity on the game that you are playing it on. If it allowed full DPI there would be no match between a Keyboard and Mouse player and controller user.
-
It gives you an advantage for sure, but I could do the same with a controller
