MIDA NERF CONFIRMED IN 2016 UPDATE
The last good primary has finally fallen victim to pvp's archenemy: scrubs calling for nerfs.
It's a sad day for Destiny pvp. A moment of silence as we mourn. :'(

YOU created this situation by nerfing other weapons so that MIDA would be superior, then had Xur SELL IT! Well you got your wish. MIDA, the last truly good, balanced weapon, is getting axed. So much for all your fluff answers on the forums, Cozmo. So much for "Looking back, we can see a game that evolved in lock step with the community that grew more powerful as they played it." (Quoted from the yearly update) We have been asking for TWO things: 1. Separate PvP from PvE. 2. Don't nerf MIDA. Did you listen to either of these pleas? Obviously not. So now guardians get a little weaker, and the chasm between Bungie and their players grows wider. So. Very. Unimpressed.

It can only be considered 'beastly' by standards because all the other guns have been nerfed to shit. Fix the other goddamn guns. There's no reason to nerf guns because of usage. Can't want to see what gun is going to rise out of the shit pile by being 'the less nerfed'.

I personally hate MIDA, but I do not want it to be nerfed like every other weapon in the game. As for snipers, bungie's version of "Tone down" means complete annihilation of that weapon type. I don't like either of those weapons, but I do NOT want to see them nerfed.

5 RepliesOk ! "Never intended pvp to be dominated by one weapon". Mida is not a problem, I shut them down with snipe or Nirwens Mercy. This is such bull shit! Now pvp will be dominated by hand canons and shotguns. Skirmish is all hand canons and shotguns or snipes, I'm getting wiped with TLW and a few others. Unless Bungie is trying to get people to quit playing PVP they better get their heads out of their butts. The rewards suck! No exotics, rarely any weapons above 265, the legendaries are ALAWAYS the same like Party Crasher and some lame hand canon. I don't have 6 hours for Kings Fall or the patience for lag switching on Trials so please quit ruining PVP!

4 RepliesSo, this is what it comes down to? The devs make good guns to use, people cry they are OP. Along comes a nerf and the meta changes. The new meta shows that, whoops too many people are getting Rekt by this gun. Nerf. The meta changes again. So when does this vicious circle of buff, nerf, buff, and nerf again stop? The answer is NEVER! There will never be the perfect "balance" of weapons in destiny. But why? you ask...because we as gamers and a community love our gun perks in this game too much. Even if bungie made everything perfectly balanced, we would complain that now the crucible is boring. Now I main a titan and sunbreaker got nerfed to the ground. Okay ( it was a little crazy ). Pulse rifles get nerfed, okay but they are still effective. I admittedly am using the MIDA. I find it quite effective against sniping. Now bungie created this debacle with MIDA in constant nerfs and buffs and the META changing yet again. So everyone adapted, and those who didn't cry nerf nerf nerf. I'm not overly upset about this, what gets me ticked is the constant vicious nerf and buff circle that this game seems to be trapped in to find some small way to keep everyone happy.
