As a Day One player, who will most likely never come back to this game after the incessant amount of nerfs and unnecessary changes, this is quite possibly the biggest joke I've ever seen. Year1 MIDA was a niche weapon used at a time when Suros, Thorn, TLW, Red Death, etc., all had ridiculously high use rates by the player base. When someone used a MIDA they were most likely the only player using it in that match. Hell I remember going into ToO matches when it was first released and used MIDA and received messages from people being impressed that I wasn't part of the large thorn and TLW user population. Now it's an OP weapon, not because the gun shines so incredibly bright (although it will always be my favorite gun in the game), but because the devs and Bungie have repeatedly nerfed weapons. The worst part is these nerfs rarely balance anything, but rather bring a new weapon to the top. Bungie needs to go back, erase the nerfs, reinstate the original game's weapon stat bases and use all the information from then to now to make one final change to weapons. Wipe your hands and tell the community to suck it up.

 • Fair enough, I read nerf and didn't check the links. But I have seen a crazy amount of people asking for a MIDA nerf. And as someone who once loved this game, the community drives me bonkers. I'm not sure if the community or devs are worse. We give terrible advice and they then implement it. But thanks for clearing that up - being back in the office has obviously filled me with some latent anger, haha

 •
Wipe your hands and tell the community to suck it up.
That's exactly what I want. Broadening a bit on that - I want a game created by a group that knows, with confidence, what game they want to create. I know it probably sounds silly, but I don't want to give feedback so the creator can figure out what kind of game to make. I just want to play. I want professionals to show me what a great game is... I don't play games that grow with the communities input. Well, now I do I guess. Wasn't that reserved for low budget indie games?

 • The real issue has always been the ability to take PVE weapons into PVP and vice versa. Bungie never constructed a maximum damage output for balanced PVP which is why this is an issue. Events like ToO and IB should reward those who are either "lucky" with RNG or who've played enough to "earn" rewards from RNG. When anyone enters normal crucible, there should be a minimum and maximum damage output based on the weapons stats. Plan and simple. Normal crucible rewards a skilled hand or first to shoot and special events cater to those who've dedicated time to gather a powerful arsenal. Instead, they tweak everything and mess up both aspects of the game. The only feedback we should be giving them is how we feel about events, broken mechanics, glitches, what we'd like to see in the future, and other like things. Giving the community the option to complain about classes and weapon balancing does not make sense when each class and weapon archetype are meant to fit a niche the player finds for herself/himself.
