Currently, the Warlock's three subclasses are all great for PvP, no doubt about it. However, two are mediocre at best for PvE, the other 80% of the game. And of course, both of the subclasses I'm talking about are Voidwalker and Sunsinger, the Year 1 subclasses. Right now, Voidwalker is considerably the most underwhelming Warlock subclass in PvE. The Nova Bomb seems to have falloff damage if it doesn't smack head on (unsure tbh), it tickles Ultras and Heroic Majors, and we have the only Super that can kill ourselves. Then, there are certain nodes that are not worth using, such as Lance, Angry Magic, etc. For Sunsinger, it needs to actually be a support class. You don't see a whole lot of people running Song of Flame, the part that makes it a support class. If in PvP, it's usually Radiant Skin. If PvE, it's usually Fireborn. On top of that, most of the nodes that would help boost it's supportive role are usually too underwhelming to matter. Pure examples are Sunburst and Solar Wind. Therefore, I'm providing some ideas for how the subclass can be buffed for PvE. [i]*Italics relates to changes in nodes*[/i] [b][u][i]Voidwalker:[/i][/u][/b] [u]Nova Bomb:[/u] [i]No longer self harms. Increased damage against PvE Majors and Ultras.[/i] [u]Focused Burst:[/u] [i]Now applies speed boost to entire Glide duration. Renamed to Focused Speed.[/i] [u]Vortex:[/u] Vortex continually damages foes inside. [i]No damage falloff from Nova Bomb.[/i] [u]Lance:[/u] Nova Bomb flies farther and faster. [i]Stay in place when prepping the Nova Bomb.[/i] [u]Angry Magic:[/u] [i]Increase in tracking[/i] ([u][b]Do NOT make it 0.04% in tracking![/b][/u]) [u]Soul Rip:[/u] Kills will reduce both your Nova Bomb [i]and grenade[/i] cooldown [u]The Hunger:[/u] Duration of Energy Drain is increased. [i]Increased melee speed while Energy Drain is in effect.[/i] [u]Embrace the Void:[/u] Damage with grenades and Nova bomb activate Energy Drain effect. [i]Kills with Nova Bomb instantly restore health. +1 Armor added.[/i] [u][i][b]Sunsinger:[/b][/i][/u] [u]Song of Flame:[/u] Radiance reduces all cooldowns for nearby Allies. [i]Allied Supers gain reduced cooldown. Larger AoE.[/i] [u]Solar Wind:[/u] [i]Enemies ignited from a longer distance.[/i] [u]Sunburst:[/u] Killing an enemy with Scorch has a chance to drop [i]two[/i] Orbs of Light. [i]One orb of light guaranteed.[/i] [u]Angel of Light:[/u] Aiming weapon while in air holds you in place briefly. [i]+1 Armor added and faster weapon movement while aiming down sights in midair.[/i] Deej, Cozmo, or anyone else on the Bungie team reading this. Please consider this and whatever comments people put below relating to stats. The Warlocks need to have their Year 1 Supers brought up to Year 2 standards so they're more useful again. Also, please consider rebalancing [i]EVERY[/i] subclass, not just the Warlock's or Hunter's. [u]Balance every subclass so it has [b]equal viability in both PvE and PvP![/b][/u] Edit: Thought I had put his in during the original creation, but I must not have from the looks of it aside from the poll. Feel free to add your own ideas on how these could be balanced or, if you're against, add why you think they shouldn't happen. It's nice to see both sides.       • Bruh solar wind should not just knock an enemy back far that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard of, I'd rather it just be like the melee hits like a f***ing truck/phalanx shield and launches the person. I mean it wouldn't be op if it's ability actually was usable and didn't get you flame shield, and you don't get melee super quickly all the time unless you spec for it and have claws of ahamkara and Monte Carlo equipped, I mean at least solar wind would be useful if it was powerful enough to launch people, I'd prefer that lol

        • Love all of this. I main a sunsinger, and I think something that would be great (maybe PVE only) would be that fireborn is automatically granted after 5 minutes even with another perk selected even if the super is used. So, let's put it this way, you're fighting warpriest, your buds need some orbs, so you use radiance and kill some adds, make some orbs. But now... With this new option, even if you die at this point, you can still self res. The contingency is that you had your super ready to go for 5 minutes minimum to allow this perk to be activated. Thank about it, as a nightstalker, I almost never run around for 5 minutes straight without using my super, or defender, or gunslinger, or striker... Wait no one uses striker in PVE. Anyway, make it so I want to use radiance while alive! Throw in some kind of guaranteed fireborn after the super has been ready for maybe around 5 minutes. After looking through that, this would certainly have to be PVE only as it would be insanely cheap in PVP. But definitely fun and very useful in a raid.

          • All of the subclasses could use improvement for PVE. That's the problem with the way they balance for PVP. They make subclasses and weapons too weak to be used in end game activities. The sunbreakers where one of the best damage subclasses for PvE and now it's almost useless because of balancing by the developers. I really hope they solve this in Destiny 2. If not I won't be playing it.

            I agree but i want add the voidwalker Blink The Blink is not usable in PvE because of too less distance and height. The Blink in PvP getting abused from Blink-Shotgunners. Easy solution -give the Blink more distance and more height and it is more hard too do a Blink Shotgun Kill in PvP but usable in PvE -make it possible todo the 2nd Blink directly in the Air before touching the Ground or waiting for the cool down. Too reach a height the NovaBomb is effective. Further Suggestions because of Titans One Hit Shoulder Charge -If the Blink is loaded with running like Shoulder Charge add a grenade vortex at the initial Point A Grenade Vortex is not One Hit but provides some Damage. Voidwalker Blink more Range small Damage. Shoulder Charge small Range and more Damage.

              I mainly play void and sunsinger. Void for pve and Sun for PvP. When I play void I am mostly frustrated that I want MORE perks and can't have them. I want nothing more than to have, embrace the void, bloom, grenade and super explosion range, improved energy drain, nothing maniacles, the ram. All of these synergies soo well it's crazy. Its too bad I can't just have it. Lance and tracking seem rather useless to me. Sunsinger in PvP is very helpful for the grenade burn. But again why would I ever take things like solar wind. I just don't get it.

              • I think that voidwalker needs a complete overhaul. I would make voidwalker super generate a void vortex below the caster which would buff allies rate of fire, stability, regen their health and regen their ammo (no hevy regen in PvP)

                  • Personally I would prefer radiance to be a bit like ward of dawn such as Allies in area gain burn damage and take less void/arc damage Allies in area gain increased super recharge and gain over shield on precision kills for 3 seconds per kill doesn't stack Allies in area gain additional weapon stability and reload and regenerate heavy ammo (like 1 rocket per 5 seconds or whatever that equates to)

                  • Some of your ideas are good, but others I'm not sure about. One of the things I got from reading the Titan update was that each talent is meant to have specific synergies with other talents in the grid. For that reason, I do not think any talent will have it's basic effect altered, only buffed or expanded. I've tried to compile a list of my own suggestions, working within those confines, and would be interested in seeing if we could merge our lists into one that uses the best of both. Here's an interesting piece of data to consider as we proceed. Planet Destiny recently interviewed two of the guys who have leadership roles in the balancing efforts, and they were specifically asked about other classes receiving updates as Titans had. Although they were hesitant to commit to anything, they did suggest that if anything were to happen Warlocks would probably be next, and then one of them made an off-hand comment suggesting that they have data showing that the Sunsinger in particular is underperforming at the moment. Voidwalker: >Nova Bomb detonations in close proximity to the caster will no longer cause damage to the caster. >To alleviate confusion, the buff provided by the Energy Drain melee ability has been renamed Syphon. The cooldown reduction provided by this buff has been increased. >Super energy gained from the Soul Rip talent has been increased to be on par with the new value for the Striker's Amplify talent. >In addition to its current effect Angry Magic now causes targets struck directly by Nova Bomb to receive 50% additional damage from all sources for a short duration. >The agility bonus previously provided by Annihilate is now provided by Vortex Mastery. Sunsinger: >The base cooldown rate for abilities while Radiance is active has been improved. The maximum rates have not changed. This makes Radiance somewhat less dependant on strength and discipline scores. >Ability cooldowns affected by Radiance and Song of Flame will ignore the Trickle modifier for as long as those effects are applied. >The Song of Flame talent will now affect all allied players regardless of proximity to the caster. >In addition to its current effect the Song of Flame talent will now cause the ability kills of all fireteam members to begin health regeneration. >In addition to its current effect the Solar Wind talent now extends the range of the Scorch melee. Enemies pushed by Solar Wind will be staggered. >In addition to its current effect the Brimstone talent now causes enemies to receive the full burn damage from Scorch immediately. Enemies damaged by the Brimstone explosion are ignited. >The Sunburst talent now applies to grenade kills as well as those of the Scorch melee.

                    • Make Life Steal perk increase recovery for about the same time as Surge. Instant health on Void melee kill is too conditional to ever be utilized in both PvP and PvE.
