Um. No. First off, GOTY doesn't mean much. Look at this years title. Witcher 3 won, while there were many games just as good. Are you using other people's opinions to justify yours? Second, you just listed off games that, while good, don't come close to being some of the best ever made. Third, many people agree that Skyrim is shit. Its popularity is bloated by Bethesdas fanboys who think they are infallible and make no mistakes(even though all of their games are chock full of them). Simple truth is, if Bethesda didn't make Skyrim, and nothing else changed, it would've been a 5/10 game. Fourth, I do not consider those to be the best games ever. Not even close. If you consider Skyrim to be the best game ever...I really do feel bad for you. Honestly. I consider games with rich lore, convincing game world, original content, fun combat, challenge, unique gameplay mechanics, good soundtrack, great level design, solid progression system, and in some way revolutionizes the franchise or genre. Skyrim hits none of these. Not at all for me. The level design for the dungeons is recycled. The soundtrack is generic. The lore is generic. The enemy design is boring. The combat is atrocious. The quest structure is horrid. The story is shit. It's Oblivion V2, doesn't at all revolutionize the genre. The game is one of the easiest I've ever played(beat all factions and main quest in ~30 hours of boredom). The progression system is broken. I don't know about you, but that is not "best game of all time." And you may disagree with me on some of these things because I understand we have differing opinions. But things I know most Skyrim lovers complain about are The bad combat The poor story The bad quest structure So no. It's not the best game of all time. Maybe it's your best game of all time. Sorry, but a "big map with lotsa quests" means nothing to me if its shallow and hollow. But anyways, now that that is settled. My favorite games of all time are Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2, Bloodborne, Metroid Prime 1-3, Dead Space 1 and 2, Battlefield Bad Company 2, Gears of War 3... I like games that either revolutionize the genre, have depth to them, or are challenging. So no. I don't like Skyrim. Is that a problem for you? Does your opinion of the game change by this fact? Or do you form your opinions because of others opinions(bringing up GOTY awards to "prove me wrong.") And finally, you outright came at me for literally no reason. You're the reason I can't stand Skyrim fanboys. One little sentence can bring on a world of hate. Bye, bud.
