That's not a planet

Edited by Noctroglyph: 12/31/2015 3:39:09 PMCarl Sagan would disagree. This "new astronomy" is BS. It has moons, it has an atmosphere. It orbits the sun. It's a planet.

Edited by Spoopy XP: 12/31/2015 4:09:04 PMI hasn't cleared its orbit of debris thats why its not a planet. Also its orbit is highly eccentric and irregular. There are 9 moons in the solar system that are bigger than it. Its a big ball of ice pretty much. Yeah it has an atmosphere made just out of nitrogen and its slowly escaping into the Kuiper belt so it doesn't have a proper one. Its not a planet ok?

New Coke isn't Coke either. Sorry, I don't buy into "new" astronomy definitions of a planet.

Ok call Ceres,Eris,Quaour,Varuna,Ixion,S1992/kp1,and Sedna planets too

Don't be an idiot. It's called historical precedence.
