Sorry, but the grimoire cards clearly refer to the nine as beings that inhabit Jupiter, and additionally the Awoken Queen sends Skolas to the nine as a token of apology. The nine order Xur to free Skolas and send him back.

  • It also calls them the warminds and the first born awoken. I think the card is just trying to say they live by many names and have countless story to explain them but no one really knows.

  • Yes, it's very likely that the nine are other warminds that survived the collapse. Awoken just means the first beings to really come to prominence after everything was destroyed. Those warminds survived it and retained their power, so really are the first awoken

  • I think it's referring to the race. Besides that all the warminds except Rasputin were destroyed. We also hear that they are scared by something transcendent and are throw into the weft of things.
