Decent theory but there is one major hole, Osiris meets the nine in person on Europa, how can the Nine be planets when he meets the nine on Europa in person.

I'm not so sure about this. though yes it has good points why would they be helping us after we slaughtered them? Why do they need us for something and surely if they were just the ahamkara that we could kill fairly easily than why would the awoken be so afraid of them. She had enough power to tear apart a fleet with a single blow then what's a couple space dragons to her? Though I'm now curious if the ahamkara themselves may be connected to the nine as pets of some sort or maybe they could be their physical manifestation.

That's the thing with the theory they technically are not helping us because they want to, they are getting ride of there "garbage" or unwanted items to collect the strange coins. They could also have a greater plan, I am just curious what Osiris is actually doing now, IK he meet the nine on Europa but is he working for them or what, I assume we will get some more info down the line, really curious to see where the "story" and lore goes. Theories will always just be theories though in till we get more info or fact to prove one way or another. It is really cool to see all the awesome theories everyone comes up with.

Edited by cViking: 12/31/2015 4:19:23 PMThere is no real saying how they got them, the Ahamkars can control people,, it is possible the items are not used by them but were gathered by old/ slayed guardians or maybe that is what Osiris or the Jovians are off doing, collecting the items for the ahamkaras to sell to the gaurdians through Xur. Just like you Theory this one cleary hs its own holes, such as why and how to the Ahamkara's have these gun's. also Ahamkara's are believed to be extinct however I i recall there is a card that goes into stating how they are known to defy death and/or made the tower/guardians believe they were extinct so they could escape.

If that really is the story, of the nine being leviathans that meet Osiris on the moon, then it doesn't really add up either. By definition, leviathans are large creatures that live in the depths of oceans. So to speak of large, ocean dwelling creatures traveling through space to one planet sounds a little off to me, not to mention the lack of any large bodies of water on the moon. In some mythologies, leviathans are told to have telepathic powers, so using that, perhaps the 9 sent representatives that they spoke through to meet up with Osiris on the moon? If that may be the case, who's to say that the 9 are not the planets with ascensent minds that also sent representatives which they spoke through to speak with Osiris? Just an idea, I'm not really big on coming up with destiny lore, I leave that to the experts, just pointing out things that could be wrong or hold true from this one.

Further clarification is that Europe is a moon of Jupiter not earth moon so we don't actually know what that moon is like or its environment.

They had early concept art of Europa, it was icy but still had some water. So bringing the other guy and your ideas together, they're compatible (by which I mean leviathans meeting in some water place).

Europa is another name for the moon, that's where I got that from. Like I said, im far from any sort of expert on destiny lore, and haven't read a whole lot of the grimoire myself, just read a lot of other people's theories on it. I guess no one really knows for sure, hence them being theories, I was just throwing my two cents out there. I love seeing what other people come up with

Edited by cViking: 12/31/2015 3:08:39 PMThat's where you are wrong though, Europa is not the earth moon that we travel to in the game, Europa is a moon of Jupiter that we have no information on other then that Osiris traveled there and the Nine have been there. I understand though and the theory the OP came up with is very creative it just doesn't really fit with the Grimoire.
