Maybe the tree in the Iron Banner emblems and designs is Yggdrasil, The Tree of Life in Norse Mytho, and what is everything from Lord Saladin created with? "Forged in the Fire by the Lords of Iron." Maybe the Sun could be the symbol of life and the ultimate passage to the Light. Perhaps the Nine are the opposite of the Lords of Iron. For example, not practical game usage: The Iron Lords are the purifiers of Darkness, similar to The Space Marines (Warhammer 40K) or even the Brotherhood of Steel for those needing further clarification on the purifying status of some teams, while the Nine are like the Black Market opposite. The Nine might be unjust, since they released Skolas and gave that dude Kelloggs on his way out, but have a better motive in the end by sending a messenger, with trading goods to pose a valuable ally to ambassador as the Nine. We may never know, or perhaps, its too late and the next DLC, The Nine are gonna release a space Cthulu on us. <-Metaphor Also, can anyone clarify before I go making an idiot of myself, do any of the characters in the Tower mention Xur or the Nine?
