Good theory, but in the grimoire they are described as much more things, which leads multiple people to believe that the nine are more than one species/entities.

I'm still skeptical of how that card was interpreted. I saw it more as a listing of what people rumored the nine to be and was basically there to say, know one knows but they speculate.
