There was a post about how the vex may use worlds like mercury as massive quantum super computers to predict the future and with that they could move resources to set seeds to make multiple computers and expand their sight into the future. The other smaller minds are used to direct building efforts, troop movements, protection for the building crews and other operations. hence the reason for divisions such as the hezen corrective, hezen protective, virgo prohibition, aphix invasive, ETC.
