So, I tried something new last night in the Valus T'Aurc Nightfall. Instead of hiding in the ceiling and using a sniper to drag out the fight I decided to plant a weapons of light bubble straight across from him and go toe-to-toe with Sleeper Simulant. Holy crap! I did all the DPS and killed him in about 7 shots. Solar burn is on, but so is small arms so special and heavy weapons are actually doing less damage then normal (they stack so solar heavies are still doing more damage than if there was no burn, but less than if it was just solar burn). I couldn't believe the damage. With just weapons of light it was about 45,000 per shot and with a Hunter tether and WoL it was over 60,000 per shot (from a 320 Sleeper, but 300 or 310 would still be a lot). The boss does solar damage too so you need to hide in the bubble when he shoots rockets, but the Sleeper Simulant staggers him so once you start shooting him you really just need to hide when you reload. I killed him three times last night and each time my teammates were surprised and thankful for the quick kill (my last team had wiped three times on the boss before I joined them). Pro Tip: Easy mode/speed kill would be 2 titans and 1 hunter using weapons of light, blessing of light, and a damage bonus tether. All three using Sleeper Simulant would mean the boss would be dead before anyone needs to reload if they are all headshots (which is pretty easy to do with Sleeper because of the high aim assist).
