Legend: Ahkil
I wasn't his ghost, but I was with him that day.
He had slain many champions of the dark.
But this was different.
One of Cayde's maps had pointed him to the moon, in search of a hive weapon fit for a guardian to wield, hidden in a cash of ancient runes of hive arcana.
He was walking on a ridge, humming to himself, rifle held in a patrol position. But he was not alone. A warlock seeking the ancient powers of the hive like him was watching. Near a pit had he revealed himself.
A short conversation ensued.
Then, the warlock summoned every last ounce of power to force him off the cliff. But not before he could get one shot of at the warlock. It hit its target. Went right through his head.
I was the warlocks ghost. I refused to revive him that day. The thrall eventually found me, but his ghost escaped. In time, I heard stories of a hive creature silently intervening with tragedies that could end the city, wielding the same rifle as Ahkil.
Curious.
