Legend: Lt Bupper
Many knew his name but weren't sure if he actually existed.
Many knew him as a Warlock, others claimed he was a hunter no one truly knew.
He was a lone wolf, never took others with him on his travels across the solar system I guess that's why I liked him.
Over the last year and a half all I saw in his eyes were emptiness, no emotion, no thrive to fight the darkness. He was tired and couldn't fight anymore; he had given me instructions to wake him in the coming days but never said when.
As I aimlessly scoured the tower wondering when/if I should wake him I felt something, something unnatural. This feeling was more than mechanical I felt as if all of my life was being drained from my body as I rushed to find my guardian all of my light seemed to just leave as if it were never there.
As my shell fell to the floor I heard 5 distinct footsteps my guardian coming to help. As I was lifted off the floor I looked into his eyes and saw it all the emotions fluttering back into his soul. What I felt wasn't my light leaving it was returning all at once.
That was 236 days ago and now as I lay here my optical glass shattered and my shell cracked and chipped I look at a single image his eyes filled with life and emotion but right in front of me are his own eyes lifeless and emotionless. As the minutes go on I can feel the light slowly draining from me. I hear a whisper but only for a few seconds, very faint and muffled only 2 words 'I'm sorry' as the marching of an enemy we only knew as [REDACTED] grew louder I knew that this was it. And the only thing I could say was "I'm sorry too"
I'm half asleep and it's 4 in the morning so excuse the shitty writing
